Sunset learned from Susan and played with the HuMane 5 before the first movie. Roxy suggested that Sunset play with them for old time’s sake. Before leaving for Equestria, Roxy asked Sunset if she could come play music with them again sometime when she’s not busy. However, Sunset suggests letting Susan take her spot. When Susan demonstrates her skills, the Rainbooms are amazed by how similar they are to Sunset’s, to which Susan responds, “Who do you think taught her to play like that in the first place?”

So in terms of where the specials and movies are gonna be placed in this version, we know the first movie is obviously between seasons 3 and 4, Rainbow Rocks is between seasons 4 and 5, and Friendship Games happens at the same time as The Cutie ReMark, but after that it gets more ambiguous.

Would it be safe to assume Legend of Everfree is between seasons 6 and 7, then the Dance/Movie/Mirror Magic specials happen at various points in season 7, Forgotten Friendship and Rollercoaster of Friendship either being in late season 7 or even between seasons 7 and 8 (and maybe before the 2017 movie), Spring Breakdown in early season 8 (after the 2017 movie, before Spike gains wings in Molt Down), and Sunset's Backstage Pass and Holidays Unwrapped being during season 9? With the possibility that will be when those specials/movies will be released in this version or is that something that hasn't quite been sorted out for you yet?

Second, some possible stuff for the Girls (and Spike) in their adult lives:

Susan could become the new Principal of Canterlot High after Celestia's Human Counterpart gets promoted to Superintendent and Luna's human counterpart goes to back up her sister.

Tara becomes the new science teacher at Canterlot High (with multiple PhDs at that). Of course, there ARE accusations that she only got the job because she's the new Principal's girlfriend, but she does MORE THAN good enough at the job to prove she has plenty of skill to handle it and shut up at least most of the ones that accused her of getting the job because of favoritism.

Spike, meanwhile, is INCREDIBLY healthy for a dog that is more than twenty human years old, often proving to have far greater strength, speed, agility, durability, stamina, eyesight, hearing and smell than most much larger young adult dogs (well, the latter when it's just him, Tara, Susan and their closest friends at any rate - he is pretty careful to put on a good acting job when somebody who ISN'T already in the know is around). And, yes, a big part of that IS the fact he has been gaining more and more of a dragon's longevity as he gets older.

Roxanne is, naturally, a professional athlete (being careful to hold back enough to not reveal her powers in public, yet showing enough skill where she doesn't NEED her powers anyway) who dabbles in music as a hobby.

Fauna is, naturally, a veterinarian (and the only one Tara takes Spike to for his annual check-ups as she IS in the know about the magic stuff).

Pinkie is a professional caterer (combines party planning with preparing LOTS of food)

Asheleigh, of course, works on the family farm (with a side job related to selling fruit)

Perhaps the Human Dazzlings were a small-name band that Adagio decided to use as a cover and she killed the human Dazzlings to make sure they didn't blow her and her "sisters'" covers.
