Tell me I'm wrong....go on!

10 seconds in and I know exactly what it’s talking about lol

Though I can’t say I’ve actually tried building a character with those qualities, just seems like a symptom of post modern, first world mental instability. I honestly like my character having a sense of emotional stability and “normalcy” to them before having to reevaluate things. Maybe it’s not as smart from a practical perspective, but there are only so many stories you can read with the same seeming copy/paste character personalities before it gets kind of old.

Plus I’m kinda rebellious in the sense that I tend to dislike popular trends

Lol :rainbowlaugh:

I agree with 7714357 though. Unless you really need a traumatised character, it's best to avoid OCs that are too unstable in their issues. It's fine to have a quirk or two, but there's only so much you can do before your character becomes a mere trope that's been done to death.

Exactly that! When it comes to OCs, it can go 1 of 2 ways. 1.) You make an OC thats so OP and "Perfect" that it's terrible or 2.) You take time to flesh out a likeable character that feels real (to an extent) and relatable to the audience.

This sounds like a good time for a-
modified self-insert character!
