This notion was suggested by Westphalian_Musketeer. Since I wish to promote stories with particular species it would be good to have threads where folks with ideas could leave them for those with the time and inclination to write them.

This thread is specifically for ideas involving Buffalo with ponies, or others.

I have an idea for a M/M pony/buffalo story, but I'm already writing two other stories to really think about it.

Basically, it's about a pony with a degree in herpetology (lizards, reptiles and stuff), who goes to Apploosa to investigate rumors of a breed of cobra which was seen by locals, which was originally thought to be extinct. He enlists the help of a buffalo guide who originally saw the snake, and the two work together in order to find it. However, other things get in the way of them, like feelings.
