I've been re-reading some of my favorites over the couple months. It really is impressive just how rich and creative so many of them are. That's certainly to be attributed to the ability of the stories' authors, but that so many incredible authors have found inspiration in the ship—that surely illustrates the harmonious genius inherent to the pair's mechanics.

It's admittedly disappointing to see how much present canon seems to have undermined the ship's popularity, but the classics have managed to age beautifully. And there's still several longer fics that have only recently (comparatively) finished that I still need to get to.
