Hello everyone sorry about my media blackout so to speak. Didnt mean to keep you all in the dark about what I have been up to just been rather...hectic.
After losing that chapter to the void I had been a bit depressed, and when I finally had my will up to right nothing felt right. I scraped what I wrote several times till I finally got into a good place where I was happy with what I wrote.
Clickbait title is clickbait, but it is true.
In the United States, we have a problem with school shootings.
Just recently was one at a high school in Florida, which has been the main impetus for me to talk about my own experience on the matter.
Amidst all the worst that this year had to offer, there was so much good. I have spent seven years among this fandom now, and I hope to see you all continue reading in the future.
I'd like to take a step back and bring you with me to talk about what I accomplished in 2017.

Funny thing is, although they're my favorite MLP ship I never really thought of a good story for them. Then this idea struck me on Sunday night and by Tuesday I was finishing editing it- how the hell did I manage to do that??
Anyway...
So a lot of that story is heavily inspired by my own personal experiences growing up.

Okay, I don’t know how, but the new Mulan remake spoke to me on a more personal level than the remake of my favorite Disney movie. For those who do not know, my favorite movie is the original Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Let me attempt to explain my thoughts more coherently.
For the last week a close friend of mine has been messaging me, telling me he'll soon be safe from his home. After days of worrying and hoping he's okay, he finally told me he made it and is safe and sound and in a much better location.
I had no idea what was going to happen but now I know he's fine now. WHOO~!
Since it's the first thing I've written that ever won a contest (also the first I've ever entered into a contest), I though it might be nice to write a little about how it happened. Even if no one else is interested I'll come back and read this months from now and enjoy the nostalgia. 
Personal trauma recently led me to delete my old account. This cost me my major work, numerous friends, several stories I was in the process of writing.
Now I am trying to move house, yet again.
I may have a new job lined up, which would be nice.
In the meantime, I need story inspiration.
So far, I'm doing so much better. I have a lot of time pursuing interests for personal growth. Calligraphy, exercising, and studying Nihongo has helped keep me sane and stabilize my mental health.
And we're back.

Takes a special kind of day to make me want to crawl back into bed and wait for tomorrow when it isn't even noon yet.

I picked Longhaul, the only character I have that has any relevance here.
As a Yankee with virtually zero blood or familial ties to either country (or Europe for that matter, even though I'm Irish by blood), I don't have any dog in this fight and have largely tuned out of it because of that (whatever you do, stay out of 24/7 cable news if you want to protect your IQ points; trust me it's not worth it).
