I’d like to discuss a truly wonderful little moment in Legend of Everfree. Let’s just slap on one of these to make sure this is safe for those who haven’t yet seen the movie and plan on doing so:

Just seen the promo of the next MLP:EG. Here is my theory. Everfree forest on the equestrian side has a theluric sink hole that suck a bit of magic out of Equestria. Resulting in a more earth like ecosystem. Throw in some chaos magic gorged plunder vines and you got a spooky forest (note that it got a bit less spooky since the vine removal) . Now on the human side of things you got a leak of tainted magic (explaining why the sirens didn't try and consume it) that created a mad forest spirit.
Well, this is long overdue. Let’s get to it before it gets any more so. (And for those wondering how this fits into my usual blog naming convention, see the flavor text of Experimental Frenzy.)
Okay, time to get into some details. First, here's me at the con:
Yes, that was a cheesy Minecraft title. I have an idea for a Minecraft build, but I don't know where to find the layout of... Celestia and Luna's old castle in the Everfree Forest. And yes, I have taken my Brony-ness to the Next Level.
A little late on getting the word out this year, but I just wanted to let you all know, I'll be there!
Mostly gonna be hanging around the writer track, doing writer things. Also will be doing at least one panel, on how to be a Dungeon Master (it was my roommate's panel idea, and I said I'd help with it, since I've DM'd before for a solid year-long campaign and got pretty good at it). Might also jump in on helping with other writing track panels if they need people, don't know yet.
I survived another con. But as much as I'm glad to be back home and in my own bed to recover; it still feels like it was over far too soon.
Was so great to see so many ponies I already knew, and meet some new ones. Even managed to buckle down and submit a (really really terrible and unfinished) story for Iron Author this year. Even got a couple tshirts signed (Nicole Oliver and Andrea Libman).
As a reminder, I’m at Everfree Northwest and thus this week’s card blog will be delayed. Here are some snippets of the con thus far to tide you over:
It's that time of year again. Time that I announce my brand new series for the next few months: Equestria Girls 4: Legend of Everfree!
Rating Scale:
12/10—a complete masterpiece; flawless and outstanding
11/10—Excellent, near-perfect film
10/10—the standard rating; awesome film with a couple of flaws
9/10—a wonderful film with several flaws
This is a repost from the comments section of CouchCrusader's own retrospective. I figured I'd post it here for the curious.
That was probably the quickest I've gone from inspiration to first draft to final submission; even quicker than my two Starlight Glimmer oneshots.
Enjoy, and while there's nothing too spoiler-y, it's probably best to view Legend of Everfree as a prerequisite.
Thanks for reading!

There is actually not much to say...
Why? Why had Twilight to steal the heroine part from Sunset Shimmer? I thought this was her adventures. She was the main protagonist. I loved the idea of a former villain become one of the good guys. No, Twilight had to steal the show. Not only is she an alicorn in this world too (and Sunset for some reason isn't), she takes over Sunsets place as day saver.
The Admiral is in Seattle!
And when I arrived, it was raining, thus validating everything that I believe about the city. One of the locals says that it doesn't always rain in Seattle, but I choose not to believe him.
I seem to recall hearing that the Scribblefest winners would get published in the EFNW con literature. Since I didn't go, on account of being trapped in an isolated bunker seven miles underneath the Earth's crust, I have no way of ever seeing it with my own eyes.
We've got some brand new videos and information on the newest installment in the Equestria Girls series. Surprisingly, it doesn't look all that bad to me. Check it all out after the break.
So I had the chance to watch the new EQG movie yesterday, and I gotta admit it's probably my least favorite of them so far. There was a lot more in this movie that felt like it was taking the series down that all too predictable "teen girl high school show" route, and it lost a bit of its spark in doing so. Timber was the quickest I hated a new character in a WHILE. His sister was okay, and I liked her evil form, but it really felt like she wasn't even much of a villain. The Dazzlings, Cinch,
Just heading out, Should be there around 9ish today i'll be wearing a backwards hat that says drama and a white tee with the mane six, Discord, Tia, and NMM. Always be on a look out for the mini back pack with luna and Tia poking their heads out!
I'm going to a con.
A PONY CON.
Everfree Northwest, to be precise. Two days from now, I shall be ensconced in a Seattle hotel room, where I imagine I will be obligated to drink a bunch of Starbucks, watch a lot of Fraser, and listen to a lot of Nirvana.
(I'll probably wear flannel even without the city obligation).
