I'm a big fan of DrWolf and MrsWolf. They're both so kind and considerate toward everyone. It's inspiring. So, I wrote an instrumental song just for them. I call it "True Love" because of the relationship that they have. If anyone's interested in listening to what I made, go ahead and check it out!
I love writing my own music, as well as my own stories. So, I'm planning on making more of these in the future.
Right, so I did mention that there was a guitar that I've been hunting down for two years since I knew they existed, but I never actually showed anybody a picture of it. Well, wait no longer! Here she is -
Today, we're looking at one of my favorite carols: "The Holly and the Ivy"; played on an organ (because who doesn't like organs?)
Jump to Other Days:
December 1st - Come Thou Long Expected Jesus
December 2nd - Joy to the World
Today, I finally got my bAss!
I ordered it just after Christmas and I've been eagerly awaiting its arrival ever since. I've been a guitarist for almost three years (which will be true when February rolls around) and I've always wanted to try my hand at learning to play the bass guitar. I don't want to pursue it, but I got it more or less because it was necessary for trying out licks and riffs that work with the sound in my head I'm trying to create with my music production at home.
A little song from one of my favourite films, Spirited Away. If you feel lonely, full of anxiety, lost and / or wounded, then maybe you can find solace in this darling song.
While it hasn't really come up in the previous blogs, I do love when a band decides to combine instruments or genres that you wouldn't think would work together but in fact they do. For example, there's Eluvite, a metal band that has a hurdy-gurdy and sings in Gaulish sometimes. Or Nanowar of Steel's Valhalleluja, which is a mix of gospel and metal [let's be honest, Nanowar of Steel is the metal Weird Al].
Wow. I really expected folks to go with shipping, but I am pleasantly surprised to see that so many of you love Applejack just as much as I do!
No, not that kind! ...Although yeah, I do like that kind of Applejack too. I might just have to make me a Jack Collins to celebrate here.
But no, I mean this kind!
For when you're trying to get in touch with your inner badass. Everything's instrumental. Enjoy.
Pompeii: Chapter 2 ~ about...42% done??? give or take????? I've been all over the place, fam, ngl. I just watched the series finale bc I decided to put it off so I could cry up at school so I could disguise it as a minor breakdown and I am deceased.
Will have better cover art for it either by next Saturday or Halloween. Promise.
Merry Christmas, everybody!
To end this wild musical ride, we're just gonna have a little instrumental to celebrate the day and the reason for the season. This is "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring."
May you find the joy of Christ today and through the rest of the year.
Merry Christmas, all!
Missed the previous days'? Links below!
Hiya!
I like stories and music (this is the point when you roll your eyes and think to yourself, ‘No shit, Sherlock!’. So, while I’m not nearly as widely experienced as some people, I have still encountered a wealth of wonders that I’d like to recommend to you. There isn’t really a limit to what I’ll bring up—a song, a fanfic, a videogame, a novel, and anime… anything that pops into my mind as something I’d like to recommend that day.
Here's the new baby I've been talking about. Well, I say 'baby', but what I really mean is 'heavy hunka wood'. Only got it the other day, so I've been sat having a go with it. Fingers hurt like hell, as I'm not used to the fat strings of a bass, me being a guitarist, but it sounds really great, save for a little fret buzz, but that's all good. I like a rough sound. Dare I say it; I found it quite fun to play, like when I first learned to play the guitar.
Since I'm going to be needing these songs for a writing session myself, I just thought I'd share these tonight. They're all instrumental. Some acoustic guitar, a cinematic song prominently featuring a music box, and a Nirvana cover with xylophones. Yes, really.
Hope you liked 'em!
Hello there. Welcome to the first of a new series of posts I'll be doing. Nothing complicated here. Just sharing some of the music I typically listen to whilst writing. Titles will usually reflect what they might be good for inspiring. Most songs will be without lyrics, but if they have lyrics I'll say so. If you can't write while hearing someone sing/rap, you might consider just focusing on the song and visualizing story ideas instead of actively writing. That's one thing I do when I'm hurting
Going global with some contemporary piano from Italy, and modern folk music from Europe tonight. Everything is instrumental. Last one is good for cultural-based settings (i.e. an MLP fanfic set in Neighpon) or medieval fantasy writing. Enjoy!
To be honest, Mystic is still puzzled about the official name of the radio that is why Mystic placed a reference above if you can recognise it But the sole purpose of this blog is to be a pirate radio station broadcasted in the seven seas ! Unless it was nine seas or more (If you are confused though, here is EmperorTigerStar to help you
After the events of my blog a few posts back, I was still sad and having trouble cheering myself up. I had to go shopping today to prepare for tomorrow, but I became disheartened when I saw myself the mirror when I went to try some trousers I needed on in the dressing room. I'm nowhere near as fat as I used to be, that's for sure, but I have been self-conscious about my appearance since I lost most of my confidence and my pride.
