This year's Monster Madness is at an end.
It was an interesting experiment for me, and quite a lot of fun. November is novel month, but I still passed 50,000 words written for October. Hot damn.

I published Celestia's Curse an hour from midnight. I'm still getting like twenty favorites a day. Jesus, you people sure love your amazons and Twilestias. I suppose I'll have to research ancient egyptian culture at some point.
I made like four consecutive mistakes when polishing up Timberjack. I do have enough material to publish right now, but It could do with more, and i intend to give it more. It will still be published on the 3rd, but I've succumbed to hubris like Satan. Yes, Journeyman is Satan.
A little something Audrarius made for me. I can't link or show the two NSFW pictures of the set due to site rules, but it warms my heart to hear someone made art based on my stuff.
Still working on Letters, but since I had such a good response on How To Kill a Character I thought I’d show a tiny example of how to corrupt a character. And as a bonus, it brings Gilda into the Monsterverse. Um… She may not think it’s a bonus, though.
On this day three years ago, the King of the Monsters and the Eighth Wonder of the World clashed for supremacy , along with the second archenemy of Godzilla, Mechagodzilla, making its return to the big screen!
And all in all?
It was fun. Good mindless monster mash of a film. Funny how much some of the stuff with Kong in the movie made me think, just a little, of Primal. If only for the lack of dialogue and the importance of character through action and expression.
Behold, a glimpse...
The Monster Madness contest is still in full swing. The complete list of fanfics pertaining to the contest can be found here.
Godzilla: You actually think you can take me on? Oh, all this time I thought it was a joke! (to the other Titans) Hey, guys, look! The monkey thinks he can fight me!
Kong: You're mocking me, aren't you?
Godzilla: Oh no no no, I'm sorry, it's just KONG LOOK A BLONDE!!!
Kong: WHERE?! 😍
Hello, and well met everyone.
Some of you may know of my Monster Madness contest. I admit, I probably tore off more than I could chew with this one, but it turned out perfectly well. I am satisfied with the stories and the turnout.
Four years ago today, Godzilla showed us why he deserves the title "King of the Monsters," along with the return of Mothra, Rodan, and Godzilla's archenemy King Ghidorah. Thank you, Michael Dougherty, for giving us the Monsterverse's greatest installment yet!
9 years ago today, the King of the Monsters returned to the big screen and ushered in the age of the Monsterverse!
This is more of a full-fledged review with some extra observations that sprang to mind, thinking about the movie. For anyone who's interested.
"Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" is a dumb film that is very smartly made, and I say that in the form of highest praise. This is a movie that knows it is a monster mash first and foremost - essentially, a Godzilla movie of the 60s and 70s given the modern-day blockbuster treatment - and builds itself entirely around that.
Well, all the chapters of Death? I can fix that. are complete. I thought I spelled omelette there are first.
On the big screen, no less.
And the long and the short of it is, that I had a lot of fun.
I'll probably do a full review down the road, but to keep it short and to the point right now, I'll say this...
I may delay the final chapter of the next Monster Madness a day or two.
Please tell me a picture exists somewhere of Celestia as Professor van Helsing.
I don’t remember when, exactly, I first discovered Godzilla. Just that I was a little kid, maybe about six or seven, when I first learned of the giant, spiny-backed dinosaur beast prone to smashing Tokyo and battling other giant monsters. I have a pretty good memory of my first Godzilla movie, though. I’m quite certain it was a movie from the 1960s – “Godzilla vs. Monster Zero” was the English title, though I’ve since learned that its original Japanese title is along the lines of “Giant Monster
