I know he said he will be the adviser but... Something tells me he will have to take part in direct combat eventually, won't he? And by the way, what is that special class that is a higher rank than Shining Armor? And is this threat going to be a new villain? A OC perhaps? Or is it something in Equestria we already know about?
3272134 Many of those questions will be revealed in the next few chapters. Just know that I had gotten bored with being stuck with main storyline of the show. I mean, if I just stick to that, you kinda already expect what's gonna happen in the end, but of course the how is a different story.

3293816 Law Enforcement. Not Military. Tried ROTC for a couple weeks, hated, sucked, couldn't stand still for the life of me. So got out and tried out the law enforcement class. Graduated at the top of my instructors roster.
Anyway, nearing a close for the next chapter. GTA online a little buggy and sometimes can't connect, but once you do... badass as hell. Hopefully I'll be able to tear myself away long enough to finish it by this weekend.

3298802 Basically start off as one of those police officers who patrols around in a city or town to be ready when someone calls a domestic disturbance or a robbery taking place. Once I get a few years or so of that I'll try and work through the requisites to become a Texas Ranger. That's gonna take a lot of work I know but the payout will be worth it in the end.

Umm this chapter is quite similar to chapter 15 Pendragon Rising in A Novice Swordsman in the Canterlot Court

While I am sorry for any similarities, I am trying my best to ensure that I do not have anymore incidents like 'Memories' back in 'A New Purpose in Life'. I still feel bad as to what I did but at the time I was completely stumped as to what to write. Now that time has passed, ideas are starting to pop up to change that chapter but nothing concrete yet. 'A Novice Swordsman in the Canterlot Court' is without a doubt a truly impressive story and in no way do I wish to steal anything from it, nor any other story's for their creativity.
I hope from here on out I still impress you with my work.

I just got around to reading. There were a few things that irked me. First was the pacing and lack of description. It felt like you were reading off a list of events, rather than having the events happen in the world you've built out of words. In other words, this chapter wasn't very immersive. there was also a few missing words and incorrect tenses.
Other than that, it was fine!

I understand. Take your time. I never wrote a fanfic before, but I have written stories in school that are about 400 pages long. Whenever I get a writer's block, I just meditate until an idea interrupts. And whenever I'm not motivated, I just read other stories/scripts and look at other pieces of work. Just try to find something that motivates you and you'll be good to go
