Not everyone is born evil. Evil is something that is created and matured over time. You have all heard the legend of Sombra, the evil unicorn king, correct? You all know what he had done to the crystal empire? He had cast a shadow over the entire city, hiding it in the darkness for thousands of years. However, this brings to question, where did he get that power though? No living pony could ever acquire such power.
Warning: This story is dark and contains child abuse. If you don't like that, then please stay far away from this story.
A collaboration between myself and the amazing TheExhaustedBrony. Seriously. This guy is awesome; please go check him out and let him know if you like it. This is my sixth story written as a part of the One-shotober challenge.
A collab that almost makes it to 2k words.
Dude, you guys could have made it just a little longer if both of you were striving forward.
3317466 Oh well... so what did you think of it though? YaaY or NooN?

Haven't read it. Not really in the mood for reading today, no offense. I am just around because it allows me to think about something else.
Welp
That happened.
... Yep.

Epic. Its like Carrie but much darker.
I like it.
Possibly one of the shortest collabs I've read, but it was still great.
Woooooooah....
3317538 3319121 agreed. I liked this.
Couple years later he has the power level of Alucard from Hellsing...
Well that was interesting
I can't help but feel (wordcount aside) that the second scene, with just the father, could have been a perfect horror story if you'd been able to work in the name "Sombra" and a smidge of the backstory. I liked this regardless, though.
listened to lost's reading of this and all i can say is, well, we know who to blame for how sombra became what he was. His heartless parents who decided, well, our son looks like a monster, let's treat him like one instead of trying to treat him like any other child and raise him with love.
Way to go, background ponies i'm sure he killed.
I like this idea. From my interpretation, there was a little boy who had been replaced by a creature that was either possessing or imitating him. Now, this creature has the memories of this child he has replaced, he knows he's not the boy, but he's not evil. He's just a scared little child that's been thrown into an existence of pain and sorrow. It's similar to Past Sins in that aspect. Only, instead of being found by someone who would love and protect, he was found by those who saw him as nothing more then a monster. And then, after years of suffering, and taking comfort in the darkness, he found it becoming a part of him, and all that disdain for those who rejected and constantly hurt him grew inside until it consumed him. The voice was in his head, a product of his pain. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he created an alternate personality to protect himself.
Why did you have to namedrop the villian so soon? This really reminded me of SCP-087 SCP-087 - SCP Foundation (scpwiki.com)
and that really freaked me out. However, now we know its Sombra the idiot villian that no one is scared of.
