Chapter One
It was a warm sunny day in Ponyville. The kind of day that would make you do anything than listen to Twilight Sparkle blab on about a new spell she was going to do. this is exactly how Rainbow Dash felt. '' Twilight can you please explain to me why we are even doing this!'' Rainbow groaned as she twirled a lock of rainbow mane around her hoof.
The lavender alicorn sighed and looked at her friend '' Rainbow I really want to test this spell out if this works i can write a report to the princess on how it worked and than Celestia will be very impressed!'' Twilight smiled at the thought of her mentor being impressed with her '' in fact this spell was found in a box deep within the Canterlot archives and Celestia has no idea why it was there and what it does!'' Twilight felt her crown start to fall of her head and raising a purple hoof she fixed it
'' Well I do not want to do this, but if this is important than ok.'' groaned Dash sighing in defeat she couldn't believe she let Egghead win! Rainbow looked down at her hooves and thought '' Ever since Twi became a princess she's been acting like she knows what to do and what we have to do!'' Dash couldn't believe how everyone was so in awe of their newest princess she was still there friend right? All of a sudden Dash felt something was missing in her life something that Twilight had with Flash the new guard, but she pushed the thought out of her head
Twilight grinned in victory and ushered Rainbow over to her friends. '' Alright everyone i do not know what this spell will do, but we are all in this together, right girls?'' '' Right!'' her five friends screamed except for Dash who could only groan and shake her head in defeat.'' Okay girls let me get the spell ready and we'll do this and see what happens!'
'' What will happen though and what if we lose our wings or horns or Darling your Tiara!'' Rarity squealed pointing a perfectly manicured hoof to the golden object resting on Twilights head.
Twilight ignored Rarity and slowly closed her eyes and charged her power into her horn '' 1.. 2.. 3!'' screamed Twilight. Dash braced herself in fear of what would happen and admitted defeat. White light spread through the room and everything went black.
'' Ugh that hurt.'' grumbled Dash as she slowly regained consciousness. Her gaze looked around at the thick forest that surrounded her all she could think about how hairy her leg felt. '' What are you thinking Dash your friends are possibly injured and all you can think about is that you have a paw instead of a hoof!'' her mind screamed at her as she thought about her friends. Wait paw? Dash looked down at her legs and instead of a light blue hoof she had paws! '' Oh my Celestia!'' Dash shrieked as she ran to a small stream and saw a light gray cat with amber eyes instead of herself.
'' Rainbow what in tarnation happened!'' yelled Applejack who was a orange cat with green eyes. '' You better have a good explanation and the reason why were cats!'' she screamed as her claws unsheathed and she glowered at Dash acting as if this mess was her fault.
Rarity had turned her head to get a better view of her surroundings. A light rustling shocked the white cat into softly hissing ''Who's there?''. What she didn't notice though was that a large thorn bush was quivering as if something inside it.
Dash kept yelling in annoyance and even hissed when Rarity wasn't helping them. Little did she know to golden eyes were staring at her waiting to strike.
'' Agh!'' Dash shrieked as a cat launched onto her. Dash barely managed to roll the male over so she was on top on him, Sweet Celestia he was cute. Amber eyes stared at her and the tom hissed. ''Oh! uh sorry'' Dash said feeling heat spread across her pelt '' I didn't mean to''
The tom slowly got up and and stared her briefly resting his eyes on her flank before looking up at her. '' Its fine I'm Lionblaze by the way who are you?''. He looked at all of the cats around him all of them looked strange especially the bouncing pinkish orange one that was yelling something about cupcakes.
''Im Rainbow Dash! I'm really sorry if we bothered you or your territory.''
Lionblaze sighed ''Its fine are you guys new here?'' he asked still looking at Dash.
'' Oh uh yeah! We need a place to stay for the night and we don't know any nearby places for a den, can you help us?'' Dash said while pulling a awkward smile '' Stupid!'' she thought while mentally slapping herself '' Next time Dash play it cool!''
'' Actually I can help'' replied Lionblaze who walked over to a large thicket of bushes. Dash wondered what the heck he was doing when she saw him pull out a dead mouse! Fluttershy squealed as she fell onto Rarity who had to tickle her to keep her awake, Dash tried to keep her cool, but she had to agree it was disgusting. Lionblaze ignored Fluttershy and beckoned with his tail for them to follow him '' Lets get my Clans camp we can get you cleaned up by my brother the medicine cat and I can introduce you to my leader!''
Dash had no idea what he was talking about, but Twilight was listening intently asking fierce questions and wishing that she had brought her notebook to scribble this down. Dash looked through the forest as they walked through it. She looked in awe in how much there was of it! ,but throughout the corner of her eye she saw a dark hole in the ground. '' Whats that?'' Dash asked as Lionblaze turn to see what it was. His ears flattened and eyes went dark. He turned telling the others to follow him. and the others walked as fast as they could through the forest until Lionblaze came to a stop, and told them to look down. Dash gaped it was the largest quarry she had ever seen! Cats of all sizes were walking through it and doing there duties. A large brown tabby tom stood on the top of a large ledge giving orders, but soon padded down and nuzzled a ginger she cat who's belly was starting to swell. A very old tom cat was laying by a honeysuckle bush with tree branches woven into it, Finally Dash's eyes came to look at a large bramble bush with tree roots tangled inside of it. Cats were running up with brambles in their mouthes and were repairing the den.'' Woah!'' she said '' You live here?'' Lionblaze nodded and Dash continued to gawk at it until a yowl sliced through the air
'' Rogues! Thunderclan Attack!'' Dash gulped as dozens of cats came running towards them.
