4962167 This one will be every seven days. The other will be every four. As usual, I will be restricting myself to four updates per month on It's Complicated. This will allow me time to organize my thoughts for this story as well as a few others that you'll probably see coming out throughout the course of the month.
4961914 That's the thing. Despite the fact that it is a parody, I do try to provide my own individual twist on matters. So this will allow me to have a bit of fun with the already-established formula.

Fic wise, I've enjoyed your work before, so I'll give this 'un a shot and see how it goes, despite my reservations from clop "parody".
4963295 I know what you're talking about. I mainly put that little warning to disclaim the later chapters, which will increasingly get even more explicit. Normally, I'd release this kind of story about two or three chapters in. I intentionally released the first chapter to see what kind of a response I would get (which would then allow me to calculate my deadline for new chapters). It's not as speedy as some of the other stories, but my multi-chapter fics usually end up not being as quick as the one-shots.
One-shots are fun, don't get me wrong. But I sometimes let my imagination run me from one chapter to several. Sometime's I do well (It's Complicated), others not so much (Sunny Days), and then there are times that I'd go overboard (White Zinfandel).
Can't wait for the next chapter!

So... I didn't really enjoy this. Rather than giving me a new angle on the game, it merely highlights all the ways that the game doesn't make sense. Why does keeping the doors closed use power. Why is the night watchman forced to rely on a generator instead of being hooked into city power. Why does Sugarcube Corner need a night watchman, but he doesn't need to ever leave his kiosk. Why is the job not off site monitoring if there is no patrolling involved.
If you are going to ponify the game, take the basic premise and tweek it. Don't let him hide in the office, give him a flashlight and make him sweep the facility every hour.
Either abandon the game and tell a story that makes sense, or be faithful to the source and mock these silly contrivances. Right now you are simply borrowing elements of the game wholesale and using them uncritically.

The doors default to OPEN, as most blast doors do. That's why they require power to stay shut. The night watch is keeping the bots INSIDE, not keeping intruders OUT. The place is slated for demolition, due to the multiple deaths, hence why it's on a generator. And He doesn't need/want to leave his kiosk, because he's only there to be BAIT.

No, real blast and security doors stay where you leave them. Magnetic locks will unlock if power is removed, but they still have to be opened. They don't magically whoosh open when power is removed. Or are you thinking the Starship Enterprise?
I do understand that the game has limitations imposed by programming. A story has no such limits, you can do anything you want. Transposing all these elements into a story framework magnifies these problems. It raises questions like why does Sugar Cube Corner have all these cameras, why do they have a security station, and when did they add all these extra rooms. There is no reason to slavishly follow the game's formula, and the story suffers for it.
