Three things: is the chapter's name a misspelling, or is it supposed to be "heat's warming"?
And thus just bugs me, "even the small town of ponyville was celebrating". That would suggest that it's surprising for ponyville to celebrate and that's not plausible in my opinion. And though the story is sweet, it's to fast paced. I'd say you should expand Spike's thoughts and feelings and the actual proposal. As for now, the center of the story is the food fight.
