Umm... you do realize that the Elements were returned to the Tree of Harmony? If the Elements were never returned they wouldn't have managed to defeat Tirek, and they wouldn't have gotten the castle.

I don't subscribe to this nonsensical notion, that Naruto was abused by the villagers, in any form or fashion, besides neglect. And even then, neglect is not abuse, not in this case, when the villagers aren't really in charge of taking care of him. Much less, when he literally has ANBU guards around the clock, probably keeping watch of him.

Yes that is true but this is taking place long before Lee graduated, so the idea that you could still be a ninja without chakra was not generally established.
Wait until Naruto sees the Crystal Empire.

Not actually true. Lee uses chakra to enhance his physical abilities, he is just unable to use jutsu.

This story is great so far, and I think it's very sweet how Twilight is already acting like Naruto's mom. However, I noticed that you misspelled "discordant" in the title of this chapter.

Well, you have my... hesitant interest. Naruto was never my favorite show growing up, I will admit it had its moments, but it quickly lost me after the chunin exams.
The writing in your other story is making me give this story a chance, but if I am honest, I dislike the man with the mask immensely. It takes a certain... presence, to pull off "the chess master" role in a story, and the man with the mask simply doesn't have that. Dumbledore and the Third Hokage could pull it off as they both had "the larger than life" presence. With the old men, you could tell they saw things throughout their lives, but in the end they came out stronger... The man with the mask seems like he went through his own trials, but they shattered him and he never recovered.
I really hope they return to the village hidden in the leaves soon, regardless I'll stick around for a few more chapters to see what happens.
