I dunno, if there's one thing this fic needed it was a lot more detail. The imagery was nice, but it was far too ambiguous. I get that fully explaining what Rarity did would detract from it, but there's a balance that gives us an idea of what she did that isn't here. What did Rarity, the Element of Generosity, mind you, do that destroyed Ponyville and make her kind, loving friends literally assault her. It's OOC on both ends, but if we had a larger grasp of what she did then maybe we'd get it.
Also, Rarity's death needed a lot more too. Did she kill herself? If so, when and how come nopony noticed that she came back to town if it was full of life again. You'd think that a lot of ponies would be forgiving of the mare who single-hoofedly funded the town being rebuilt. Plus Twilight didn't seem too torn up about it. She was just like 'oh, that's too bad' and then cried a little bit.
I dunno, it's a pretty vague and OOC story.
