Happy Birthday to me? :fluttercry:

Well damn...mot impressive...not too many people with the gumption to have Nightmare Moon's death be on the second episode, to say nothing of how Luna would die along with her. Makes you wonder what could happen to Discord, eh? Might have him think twice as there WOULD be a way to dispose of him, now that the taboo was broken once. And not gunna lie, this is something I think Celestia wouldn't get over very soon. Worse, I'd bet anything Discord would definitely poke at that raw wound when back. Which would mean even if he was sealed by the girls the same way, intact and everything...I'd bet she might be the one to tip him over in a dark form of revenge, starting a path that would culminate in her fall from grace at the Wedding. This time, her lack of faith in Twilight being less ignorance, and more that small voice in her head you mentioned. Only for Twilight to be right, Celestia's own self-loathing and rage bringing about a NEW nightmare...one that would roast every changeling in the invasion...and possibly anyPONY that gets in her way.

Just a thought, great work, and I hope thing go well for ya!

"Happy birthday to you... happy birthday to you... everything you knew and loved is dead... happy birthday to you..."

God I'm dark today.

But seriously, yeah. Your present is a feel-trip.

Makes you wonder what could happen to Discord, eh? Might have him think twice as there WOULD be a way to dispose of him, now that the taboo was broken once.

Honestly, I think if he was just statue shattered and brought back he'd just look at all his parts, give a whistle and all of the pieces would start dancing to each other and then shimmy back to normal, he's taken himself apart before so it's not like being split would really be too much a problem.

I like this. Would like to see the fallout, but I like this.

Celestia visibly trembled. “She… she was my biggest mistake. Her name was–” Celestia choked up, looking at the scattered petrified body around her. “Her name was Luna, and she was my little sister. And now I’ve failed her twice, in the worst way possible.”

It's a subtle, oddly cruel thing for Celestia to refer to her own sister as her biggest mistake, but it's certainly effectively sad.
