Yet, I do have a question and or suggestion. How much time had happened since the mlp episode? As the information of the story says, sometimes progress is slow... taking that in consideration, the Zaphyr we are seein here seems already pretty changed from the one we have seen in the show and Rainbow reactions too seems pretty diferent. I think that that's not something wrong, but that should deserve some kind of explenation. Why Rainbow now seems to be entusiasthic about something related to Zephyr when in the show she looked always annoyed with him? Maybe she know he has been changing? Maybe something happened in the middle?
The premise is interesting and the story too, I'm certainly intrigued about it, keep with this

7506171 I was hoping I'd find a Zephyr x Dash fic on here. Maybe it's because I see a little of myself in Zephyr (well, I've got Zyphyr's laziness with Fluttershy's apologies) and I also have a crush on Rainbow, but I kinda like the concept. I mean, he was rather obnoxious and inconsiderate in the episode before Flutters and Dashie put his ass to work, but like I said, there's just a bit of empathy for him. I kind of imagine he likes RD for the same reason I do - because she's an example (at least externally) of confidence and accomplishment. And maybe I want to see more of them together because of the contrast - even as friends, because I kinda want to see how the two interact now that he's learned to like himself a little more and be more mature.

7527033 Zephyr did get better at the end, and I think the video you posted is a great example of where his head is at.
I agree, I think a lot of us can see ourselves in Zephyr. Not at the beginning of the episode where he's a jerk, but at the end, where he has a degree, doesn't actually have a job yet, and is still trying to figure out exactly how he's going to make things work while he crashes with his parents one last time.
I think now that Zephyr has actually turned his life around, Rainbow Dash would actually give him a chance. She's the element of loyalty, and Zephyr is the younger brother of her oldest friend, and the son of two parents who appear to have basically helped raise Rainbow Dash.
What I want to see explored with Zephyr more than anything is the relationship with his sister. You know Fluttershy must have been a great big sister, and I feel like it's a huge coincidence that Zephyr A)Wants to be a mane stylist and B)has a lengthy mane of his own (that looks terrible on a stallion), and C)His older sister has lengthy and intricate supermodel-worthy mane. I wish we saw Zephyr get the "Shining Armor" treatment, where fans wrote tons of stories about Shining Armor and Twilight growing up together after we met SA.
