my feeling through-out this story::rainbowderp::rainbowhuh::fluttercry::flutterrage::rainbowlaugh::rainbowderp::pinkiehappy::facehoof:

865129 Oh, my. I hope I didn't give you mood whiplash. But thanks!

This a really great story! I found absolutely zero to be unhappy about, and the ending was really heartwarming! Like and a fav!

865146 Why thank you! I'm glad it warmed your heart.

To be more specific::rainbowderp: What happened? Where did it happen? :rainbowhuh: What happened? :fluttercry: Oh my. that`s so sad. :flutterrage: IF YOU DON`T TELL ME WHAT HAPPENE RIGHT NOW,I`M GONNA LOSE IT!!!!! :rainbowlaugh: oh, Derpy! :rainbowderp: Will they find them? :pinkiehappy: Yay, they found them! :facehoof: Oh girls...

All my squees...

No, seriously, this is episode-grade material. At the beginning, specifically "“I sure am gonna miss this ol’ place,” she said quietly. “And Applejack, and Big Macintosh, and Granny Smith….” Her eyes started to water a little. She blinked them dry.

“Will we ever be able to come home?” asked Sweetie Belle. She didn’t sound any happier than Apple Bloom did.

“I doubt it,” answered Scootaloo. “We’re wanted criminals now. I’ll bet the Mayor’s already put out a search warrant. We’ll have to leave Ponyville, and spend the rest of our lives on the run!”" I was thinking of the SpongeBob episode where he and Patrick steal a balloon. Just perfect for the Hub to show. The only bit I can't see as an episode is with A.B.'s family, but then, even Faust couldn't get away with her idea, so you're on par with her. Liked, and recommended to others.

865518 Well actually I think something like that would be o.k. since it dosen't go into details, death is something little kids can sometimes be exposed to and if they see their favortie characters go through it as well then it helps them feel better about it, but hey it all depends on Hasbro thinks is best.

866185 "What Hasbro thinks is best" is exactly what precluded Faust from putting it in. I use the same reasoning you do, but unfortunately, Hasbro does not. Twenty bits says it's because they'd have two less characters to make toys of.

866196 Well I'm thinking if they want to they could use the example from this fic just to explain why we don't see Mr. and Mrs. Apple, that way they can give an explanation without having to create new models.

866203 No, I'm saying they won't kill them off because then they couldn't make money off toys. Hasbro is famous for using every single possible character to make a buck.

866208 But if they never show the characters on screen then they aren't nessicarly obligated to make toys based off them, besides it will be further proof that FiM does things that most other shows never do anymore. :trixieshiftleft:

866227 This would not stop them. They've made toys of characters that don't even exist, Lilyblossom being the McDonalds example. FiM may have changed its ways, but in its infancy, it was a vehicle for selling toys, just as its predecessors were.

866241 Well think about it, have they made any toys based off the parents, keep in mind that we saw Twilight's parents and Pinkie Pie's parents in "Cutie Mark Chronicles" and we saw Rarity's parents in "Sisterhooves Social". :duck:

866260 True, but that's merely because Pinkie's parents are boring, and Twilight's mother looks suspiciously like G1 Twilight, whose toys have already been made.

THIS. WAS. SPECTACULAR. Watch, like, and a favorite!:pinkiehappy:

Thanks all for the positive feedback! It's nice to know I've got fans. :twilightblush:

866267 We don't know if Pinkie Pie's parents are boring, yes they were supposedly rock farmers but that dosen't mean they were boring, untill we either find out that Pinkie Pie was lying about her cutie mark story or we see the Pie family appear in the 'cannon' universe we won't know what they are like. As for Twilight's parents yes her mom is similar to the orignial Twilight but her father is unqiue from what we know.

869297 Listen again to Pinkie's monologue about life on the farm. No talking, no smiling, only rocks. It took a Rainboom before anypony couod even grin. I'm unsure of this, but Twi's father is supposedly based off of a male pony (more than likely a toy) used specifically in Germany and the surrounding areas. Again, unsure, but he bore a similar name to the fan name given to Twi's father, Night Light.

870790 Remember that Pinkie Pie ended her story with "And that's how Equestria was made." so some fans speculate that she made that story up and we don't know how she really got her cutie mark, even if the story is true we have no way of knowing whether Pinkie Pie was telling the whole truth from what we know her parents could have been very carring for Pinkie and her sisters but Pinkie Pie could never see past the boring rocks until the Sonic Rainboom. And as for Rarity's parents yes they were only in one episode but you would think that it would still be enough for them to have their own toys, plus form what I know DJ PON-3 or Vinyl Scrath has not gotten a toy and she has appeared in only two brief scenes. :duck:

I loved this but Twilight couldn't imagine what it would be like if a younger sibling ran away? What about Spike?:applecry:

911069 :facehoof: Yeah, I just goofed there. I originally meant for Spike to be in the story too, but I couldn't figure out a way to cram him in. I probably should've remembered him at that point, though. Thanks anyway!

That was awesome. I love simple slice-of-life stories like this. There's not enough of them on this site. :trixieshiftleft:

950882 Thanks a ton! I agree with you, too - one thing I like to do is try and capture the tone/style of the show, so it usually turns out simple and slice-of-life-ish. I'd love to see more authors doing that.

It seems like it's all nothing but shipping, grimdarkness, OC epics, crossover adventures, and human-in-equestria madness.

Not that I don't enjoy those types of stories, but this genre is so underappreciated. Sometimes I just like a story with no extra gimmicks, just a nice tale featuring the characters.

Manly tears were shed

1152055 Wow, I always feel a little flattered when my work produces so strong a response. Thanks for reading and faving!

That was amazing! I really enjoy heartwarming stories like this one. Sad that FiMFiction doesn't really have enough of these kinds of gems.
