I like writing ponies. And violent explosions. For some reason, that's not a problem here.

Wow, is all I can say.

You are an absolute madman.

This is really good.

I thank each and every one of you, in equal measure.

I'm rather impressed; this caught me off-guard. Given what it's obviously crossed-over with, I was expecting edgy, misanthropic angst of the sort that would make a comic writer in the late nineties blush. I had to ask myself why I even clicked, what sort of bile fascination or masochistic urge got me to give it a look. And for the first half of the story, it looked like my expectations were justified, what with the angsty monologue and apparent sentiment. And then you subverted it deliciously with the wham-line, and everything fell into place.

Now, granted, it's still an unnecessary gore-fest reveling in its own angst, and I'm not a fan of that. But you've done a surprisingly good job of granting a cause to the otherwise-causeless main character, something the original media ignored in its quest for more edge. You get an upvote for both the self-awareness and for making that guy somewhat sympathetic, despite his Edgelord McLovegore attitude.

Yeah, like I said this came from a bad place over here. Suddenly had the urge to go all Edgelord McGee for a little while. I'll try to refrain from it in the future, no promises though. As for the subversion, that's kind of a thing I like doing, glad to see it worked :)

I like this guy in the story.

8319561
Hey, I can understand catharsis as well as the next guy; if you need to get it out of your system, do it for you. But for what was pretty obviously going to be a gore-wank from the start, you made it work and added some substance that the media you're using lacked, and that does you credit. Indeed, there's little more praise I can give than to say that I've added a few more of your stories to my To Read list after what I've seen here, and the one that was already on it has been made a higher priority. This was the first of yours I've read, and if you can handle this sort of thing with aplomb, I'm curious to see what you can do with genres I have more taste for. :pinkiehappy:

*gasps*

I hope not to disappoint!

I have no idea what game this may refer to. The pony...thing, however, that it is obviously binding with - that I know, and I can't fault one for wanting to carve a bloodbath through that world.

It is a wonderful surprise, how you were able to convey how clear things become as one keeps reading.

First you would assume that he means to meaninglessly slaughter, then you assume he means to take revenge against the Ponies.

And then it all becomes clear, that, I must say, is good writing.

Purification in Progress.

8319655
It is referring to a game called Hatred which was so controversial it got pulled from steam greenlight for a few days until Gabe put it back up with an apology.

8319695
Thankee

8319707
Like I said, it wasn't meant to be controversial enough to die completely, but it was engineered to be just controversial enough to generate buzz with just its concept.

you actually managed to give the guy a reason to go on his "crusade"
very nice
i wouldn't mind seeing more of this it probably could be made into a story instead of a one shot

8319773
eh, might work out to just more scenes of murder and mayhem.

KILL ALL NORMIES

Before I read this, what is the Dark tag for ?
And how bad does it get ?

8320257

Rated 'M' for Brutality. Against 'who', you might ask, isn't immediately clear.

8320291
but no Gore !?

I read through the whole chapter three times... and it still makes no sense.

Hey kildeez,

would you mind if we added this to the Post-Fall / Crossover folder of Schorl Tourmaline's Fall of Equestria fan group?

8320367
Sure thing!

8320349
Fall of Equestria? At all?
8320314
DAMMIT!

8320370
I'm sorry, "Fall of Equestria"?

8320378
...flee. Flee now while you can. Don't look it up, don't do anything. Just turn around now and walk away. It's too late for me, but you can still be saved! RUN!

8320391
Jesus...if it's that bad...thanks for the warning...

The game is neat.

What.... isn't this the game that got the AO rating?

8320482
Pretty sure, yeah

fucking one-shots man..

Holy shit. That was fucking awesome. Good job dude.

8321062
yup
perhaps you could make a longer story from this, a new one that is.

8320395
He's being more than a little theatrical about it, but it is, indeed, bad.

I generally think of myself as a level-headed sort, but as soon as I read the word "caribou," I was immediately on-board for the edgiest murder spree possible, gleefully anticipating their blood-soaked destruction.

Needless to say, it gets some very emotional reactions out of people. If you still want to know what it is, without having to undergo reading any of it yourself, I can tell you.

But the revulsion just may drive you to Critical Edge, like it does for me.

8321163
Hell, if im being honest, i AM a sadist sometimes. Dont know if i could continue this with the same enthusiasm though.

I did what the gaming channels advised and paid no attention to that game. That being said, does this fic do a good job of portraying the guy's character? Would he care to kill for others being brutally raped or would he just kill to kill?

8321325
Don't know for sure, but since this is based on the computer game Hatred, I'd assume the protagonist just kills to kill. Particularly the fact that he also seems to kill Red Collars without thinking twice makes me think that.

Either that, or he simply hasn't read Schorl Tourmaline's Bruised Apples. :pinkiecrazy:

As far as this kind of story goes, I have to say I'm very much enjoying it. Seeing into a mindset of both regret and lack of concern is wonderful. He acts because he no longer cares but also no longer cares because all his regrets have driven him past the point of care, almost past the moral event horizon. I can really believe this character, despite being derived from an extreme, edgy thing his specific context, in this setting, makes him feel earnest, sincere and genuine. Good work.

8319561
I've seen edgelord McGee. This is far from that. You imbued your character with some character, gave him more traits than, say, the average sandbox game hero. You're a cut above.

Well, that was quite the twist. I expected early on that it won't be the ponies, but I banked on changelings instead. Either way, a good twist!
And, speaking of twists, in a twisted way this was extremely enjoyable. What is the best monster hunter? Another, more dangerous monster.

I think this story showed how context can change your perspective on things to something you never expected. Over all a pleasant surprise.:ajsmug:

8321062
Thank you

8321286
Exactly. Keeping something like this up for the long haul? I'd have to submit myself for a psycheval.

8321325
Honestly? Probably not. Makes for the good center of a fic like this tho.

8321388
Sir, coming from you, I take that as the highest kind of compliment. Thank you!

8321486
Thanks, the twist was what I felt pinned it all together, and though it was earlier than I originally wanted, I think it played itself out well.
8321535
Thank you :)

8321284
I'd like you to tell me, but just give me the basic idea of the story.

8321713
Caribou invade Equestria and turn all the mares into sex slaves.
It's a fetish story for the most part.

8321713
IIRC The caribou invade equestria and use the mares as sex slaves and either kill or brainwash all the dudes, but its been a while.

8321809
I FUCKING WARNED YOU! Now before you go searching, just keep in mind that it's an entire world based around the rape of mares, transforming them into compliant little fuck-cows. It's literally a nation built with sex and misogyny as its corner stone. You'll find stories about fighting back against that, but there are far, far too many that just want to take a trip down rapefic lane.

You have been warned.

8321823
I wasn't planning on reading it. All I wanted was the basic premise of the story.
