The Mane Six and Spike sat in their respective thrones, surrounding the Cutie Map in the main room. The Cutie Mark Crusaders stood by their older sisters. Celestia stared at all the eager ponies and dragon, all intently awaiting of her to give out the news that she has spoke to them about. She cleared her throat, preparing herself for the announcement.
"As you all know," Celestia begun to speak, "I have yet to inform you about the crisis happening in Gotham City I have sensed early on." Everypony in the room gasped at the place that the princess mentioned. They chose to be kept silent as Celestia continued, "Therefore, I shall explain to you as slow and simple as I can to you all to understand. But I must warn you, it might be a great shock to you all and it will be very complicated."
"Gotham!? Crisis!? What the hay is going on?" Dash blurted out. "How long has it been since we've been to that other world? Three years?"
"We're going to come back in Gotham!?" Pinkie exclaimed with glee. "It's been so long since we've been there! Oh, I can't wait to see Batman again and tell him all the exciting things about Twilight's now a princess, and she has her own castle, and""
"Let her explain, darlings. We should all not interrupt when the Princess is speaking. It is simply not polite," Rarity scolded. "Clearly we are not going to be there just for a visit, since she did mention a crisis after all."
"It's fine, Rarity," Celestia said with a chuckle. "I can understand that all of you have questions that you want to be answered. Now, as how I know of this event in Gotham," she continued, the Mane Six began to look with interest, curious to know the answers and what happened, "I have sensed an invasion in Gotham while I was doing my daily meditations. I don't know how I managed to sense the threat in Gotham. You all have questions just as much as I do right now."
"What!? No way! We have to go back over there," Dash said with a sense of urgency. "It has been awhile though."
For years now, Dash could remember that she was probably the closest one to Batman after the Arkham City incident. She even took on the identity as the Batmare, having worn a suit similar in appearance to Batman's. She fought crimes in Equestria just like Batman did in his city, but, since there weren't much crimes in Equestria like there were in Earth, her career as the Batmare didn't last for very long. She had given up the identity as the Batmare and refocused back to achieve her dreams and goals as being a Wonderbolt.
"I know, this might be shocking to some of you. I'm going to give you girls an option whether you want to travel back and help this Batman save Gotham from the horrendous threat wanting to take over. Now this is optional for you all, as I am not forcing any of you to come along. Would you all like to accept this task," Celestia asked.
"You can count on us, Princess," Dash spoke up with pure confidence. "We won't let you down!"
Everypony agreed with confidently, but somehow all but one certain farm-pony seemed to be skeptical about this.
"Yeah, but Ah reckon how we could get back," Applejack pointed out. "From what Ah remember, we've only woken up there after Hugo Strange brought us there."
Twilight's ears perked up in realization as soon as those words left Applejack's lips, she turned to her friend with a grin, "Actually, I think I have just the thing to do that." Everypony peered in with interest towards her. "Follow me, I have it right over here," she exclaimed, everypony shrugged as they followed behind her out the thrown room.
They found themselves in a large hallway, where they had the large stained windows depicting Princess Celestia and Princess Luna defeating notorious foes such as Discord, King Sombra, and the incident where Princess Celestia forced to banish Nightmare Moon to the moon using the Elements of Harmony. Recent events were also included, such as when Twilight and her friends used the same magic to defeat the returning Nightmare Moon, Discord, King Sombra, and Tirek. Even stopping the changelings when they invaded Canterlot a few years back was depicted as well.
Everypony stared in awe at the portraits on the large windows of the hallway. No matter how many times Twilight's friends would visit this hallway, they could never stop admiring the atmosphere this hallway has to offer. They turned to enter through the last doorway on the right, where the hallway ended. Once they have a view of the small room, the group stood astonished to see a familiar mirror standing in the center of the room, noticing it appeared completely different than when they last saw it. The Crystal Mirror was now connected by even more gadgets, with a few more tweaks to the frame of the mirror here and there.
"I've been working on some major modifications on the Crystal Mirror for the past couple of months during my spare time, but it has yet to be at full completion for it to work properly," Twilight explained as her friends and the princess gazed upon the same magic mirror which bought her and Spike to that other world of human versions of themselves.
"How long will that take you," Dash asked.
Twilight gave a nervous grin as she rubbed the back of her mane with her hoof. "Um, maybe approximately at two to three weeks at most," she answered with the update to her project, to which Dash gave out a groan of extreme impatience.
"Seriously, two weeks? It'll probably be too late by then," Dash complained as she crossed her forelegs in disappointment.
Rarity gave Rainbow a stern and assertive glare, "Now calm down, Rainbow."
"Well, it will still teleport us there to Gotham, but there might be some mishaps along the way," Twilight explained furthermore. "Would we have to take a risk here and see how things go," she asked with concern, her friends glanced at each other with uncertain looks upon their faces. Fluttershy, in particular, seemed the most uncomfortable about doing this.
"Well, it is worth a try," Applejack honestly stated.
"Yay, I'm with Applejack! It's going to be fun," Pinkie exclaimed in enthusiasm.
"Well, I suppose Applejack might be right. I guess we all have to go in and hope for the best," Rarity said, looking at Twilight's direction. "Twilight, what do you say?"
Twilight sighed, taking almost a minute of thought to think through this dilemma. "Alright then, but we all have to try to stick together this time. We're all friends and we'll make this through, like always," she said with determination, her friends nodding in agreement.
Celestia's eyes widened in surprise when an aura of magic shot off her horn, creating a holographic screen to reveal a familiar face looking down at the group.
"Greetings, my friends," said the stallion.
"Victor Fries," Fluttershy exclaimed with excitement, "it's been so long!"
"As to you, Ms. Fluttershy."
"Oh, Mr. Fries, what a surprise! Is there anything you might want," Celestia asked lightheartedly.
"I have been informed by Princess Luna about some strange events going on in Gotham. Is it true?"
"Apparently there is. My friends and I will have to get to the bottom of this and try to return to Gotham," Twilight said, to which Victor only sighed with disappointment.
"I wouldn't recommend you returning back, but I have no right to force against your wishes. Now based on the available information I have been told by Luna about the fear breakout happening in Gotham, I only know one man that is capable of doing this action of fear to cause citizens to evacuate," Fries said. Twilight and the others perked with interest.
"Oh, and would you like to say who," Celestia asked.
"Of course, the culprit's name is Dr. Johnathan Crane. He calls himself the Scarecrow," he explained, everypony looked with confusion.
"Scarecrow? Batman has never told me about him," Rainbow mentioned.
"Oh, and who might this 'Scarecrow' be," Celestia asked.
"I've had a few encounters with Crane when we were incarcerated in the Arkham Asylum. Honestly, I have never liked him or even feel comfortable with him being in my presence. He seemed to be always plotting when I see him. He has been experimenting with this fear poison he has created on innocent people. I believed he has died during when the Joker took over the asylum, but he surprisingly survived Croc's attack on him."
"He sounds like a horrible pon- I mean, person," remarked Fluttershy.
"He is, Fluttershy. Now it's time for me to say farewell for now. Good luck to you all, be very wary when you all arrive there. I don't know what has changed with Gotham's rogue's gallery now with the clown gone. Goodbye to you all," Victor Fries finished.
"As to you, Mr. Fries," Celestia bid in return, to which he nodded as the magical holographic screen vanished into thin air.
"Alright, let me try to get this thing to work and-" Twilight was cut off by a new voice that entered the room.
"Hey, what's going on here?"
The group turned to that direction to see two unicorn mares standing in the doorway with looks of interest. One was light purple-coated, the other was a brilliant azure-coated.
"Off to another adventure again," Starlight Glimmer asked with a look of excitement. Her eyes widened as she noticed the Princess was also present in the scene, "but seriously, what's going on?"
"Yes, Trixie would like to know why the Princess is even here of all ponies," Trixie asked with the same level of curiosity as Starlight.
Celestia explained to both Starlight and Trixie everything she had already explained to the others, about Twilight and friends' past adventure to Arkham City, what is currently happening with this situation. She explained everything as simple and carefully as possible so that it came to their understanding. As Celestia finished the story, Starlight had a look of concern on her face while Trixie looked very interested.
"They get to travel to another world? Trixie would love to tag along," the blue unicorn thought in her mind as she walked besides Twilight, much to the lavender alicorn's confusion. She gave Twilight a smile of plea, "Twilight, would you mind if Trixie would come along with you? Trixie would love to experience this adventure with Trixie's new friends."
Twilight flinched at the request. "Uh, I'm not sure if that is a good idea, Trixie," said Twilight, using her best attempt to nicely turn down Trixie's request.
"Please? Trixie has helped you and your friends to be free from the changelings," she stated with pride, Starlight joined in the conversation as well.
"If you guys are all going to that other world, you're not going without me. I would hate to miss out all the fun," Starlight stated to Twilight's dismay.
"Look, you guys, I really don't want to disappoint you, but I'm afraid that I can't let you two come with us. The place that we're visiting is a very dangerous place, probably more dangerous than the Everfree Forest," Twilight said. The fact of Gotham possibly being more deadly than the Everfree brought the Cutie Mark Crusaders some shivers. Rarity, Applejack, and Dash quickly consoled their dear sisters by giving comforting smiles, which somewhat calmed them down. "I'm afraid that you two might not be able to make it through. My friends and I have had way too many near death situations on our last adventure there. That place called Gotham, it is a dark, gloomy city filled with dangerous criminals. We never know when some maniac pops up out of nowhere, and we almost got killed. I just can't risk taking the two of you with us," Twiight finished her statement. Trixie hung her head in defeat, Starlight however began to insist.
"Look, Twilight," Starlight began, "I'll have you know that just about a month ago I along with Thorax have saved you, your friends, the princesses, your brother, Trixie, and even Discord from the changeling kingdom. I've stopped Queen Chrysalis and her army of changelings from taking over Equestria. I've reformed the changeling army and Thorax is now their new rightful ruler because of me. I've proven that I can help be a savior, ... and I want to do it again," she said with passion, making her reasons seem valid to everypony. "So, Twilight, I am asking, please allow me to come with you."
Twilight took awhile to answer back, which felt like an eternity to Starlight, before finally sighing in defeat. "Oh alright, you can go," she said. Starlight shot out a smile to her former foe. "I guess you do have the right to go."
"Wait," Trixie's voice gained their attention. "If Starlight goes, then Trixie will go too," she said determinedly.
"You too," Twilight asked with shock.
"Yes, and I'm serious," Trixie responded, displaying one of those rare moments when the magician drops her third-person talk. "Over the past months since I have befriended Starlight, I have been learning the value of friendship every time I've spent time with her. Also, I want to make it up to you guys for the things I have done in the past. I just wanted to be the best at what I do, until Twilight prooved that she was better than me in every way. Jealousy had struck me and I found the Alicorn Amulet. I've banished you from Ponyville, yet you've still managed to stop me. After that and a lot of thinking, I have come to the realization that I regretted it. I was not proud at what I've done, and I still am not. I just wanted to say that I"" She exhaled heavily, "I'm sorry." She sighed in relief after her monologue.
It took long for Twilight and her friends to process everything she has said to them. The honesty, regret, and apologetic tone in Trixie's voice was very unlike her usual self, and the words she spoke were the most thoughtful and the nicest thing that Trixie had ever said to them. Everypony, including the Princess and the Cutie Mark Crusaders, all given her smiles of forgiveness and affection. Trixie didn't see the scene before her as she hung her head down, expecting not to be forgiven. When she gazed towards their direction, she was absolutely surprised by the praise she was given.
Twilight gave her former nemesis a warm smile, to which Trixie quirked up an eyebrow in confusion.
"Trixie, even after everything you did against us, I forgive you. I'm glad you've said all those things to us, that must have felt like a ton of weight being taken off your hooves," Twilight said jokingly. Trixie nodded in agreement with a sheepish smile, clearly not being accustomed to this friendly affection given to her. "If you really want to tag along with us, you are free to go as you like."
Trixie nodded, she was very excited to her first trip out of Equestria, but at the same time, terrified and tension rose inside her about what awaits her in the town of Gotham.
Clearly not knowing what to expect, Twilight turned to the others. "So, are we all ready to go," she asked. The Cutie Mark Crusaders quickly turned to their respective sisters with looks of plea.
"Can I go, Rarity? I promise to stay with you," Sweetie Belle asked. Rarity gasped in shock for the request that her little sister would want to go to a place such as Gotham.
"Yeah, Applejack, can I come?" Apple Bloom pleaded to her older sister, filled with hope much to Applejack's annoyance.
"Yeah, Rainbow Dash, it's going to be awesome! You and me helping save a city like superheroes do," Scootaloo exclaimed with excitement.
"Absolutely not, Sweetie Belle! Gotham is no place for fillies, and I would not live with myself if something happens to you," Rarity stated, not allowing her dear little sister to walk into a place that. "If you want, you could stay over at Applejack's house for a sleepover during the time that I am away."
"Yeah, Apple Bloom, ya could invite yer friends for a sleepover. Granny Smith an' Big Mac can watch ya girls when Ah'm gone," came Applejack, agreeing with Rarity's idea for the fillies.
"Yeah, going to Gotham is not a good idea for you girls. You guys can play some awesome games in your sleepover," Rainbow commented.
The three fillies merely hung their heads down in defeat.
"Aw," they groaned in unison, then responded in defeat, "okay."
Knowing that there was no getting passed the older mares' orders for them, the original CMCs gave up in trying to persuade them. After all, a sleepover seemed to be a nice idea for the fillies when they turned to each other to conversate about their plans for tonight's activities.
"Ready to go now? We can't time waste time, you know."
"Wait, hold on!"
Twilight groaned at her cyan pegasus friend's call. "What is it, Rainbow," she asked with a tone of frustration in her voice, which Rainbow ignored.
"Can I go to my place? There is something I need to get," Dash asked. "It'll be fast, I swear."
Twilight rolled her eyes before sighing, "Just get whatever you need."
Rainbow beamed with excitement and quickly flew out a nearby open window.
As Dash quickly sprinted through her bedroom window, having multiple Wonderbolt merchandise and souvenirs decorated across her room. Dash rushed into her closet and began digging through the pile of mess stuffed in.
"C'mon, where is it?! It's got to be in here somewhere." She continued to throw random useless items behind her, making the room more messy than it already was, "Ah, here it is!"
Underneath all the mess in her closet, there was this black case sitting on the floor beneath all the piled up clothes and extra blankets. She was not much of a good housekeeper most of the time, but what she was finding was much more important to her than housekeeping.
As she opened the lid of her case, her eyes laid upon a very familiar black suit which resembled a bat. She smiled at the sight of the costume. Having not worn this thing in years, she did feel nostalgic once again holding it. She rushed inside her dressing room, then stared at her reflection through her mirror after changing into her Batsuit. She grinned with pride, being satisfied with her visual appearance inside the suit, "Can't wait to show everypony that Batmare is back and twenty percent cooler than before."
Back in the castle, the group patiently waited for their brash friend to return. After sometime, they noticed a pony dressed in a familiar suit Rarity had specifically made of her pegasus friend for a special circumstance.
"You all don't need to fear, Batmare is here," Dash exclaimed with confidence and pride, standing with a smirk on her muzzle, which was the only thing on her face not covered by the cowl. Twilight slapped her forehead in embarrassment, not wanting to show any childish acts from her friends to the Princess.
"Alright, Rainbow! Are you ready now," she asked with impatience.
"Yeah, sure. Let's go and hit this show on the road," Dash enthusiastically returned as all the ponies turned to the mirror.
"I bid you all farewell and good luck, my little ponies. I have every faith that you all will make it through," Celestia said her goodbyes to her friends and made her exit out the room to return to her castle in Canterlot.
"Well, let's go, everypony. We could only hope for the best," Twilight said, her friends nodding to her statement. "Just let me power on the mirror and set the location to where we're going."
Twilight came to the control panel connected to the mirror and flipped several switches and buttons to set up the teleportation. "I'll say this to remind you again: This project is not done, so there could be mishaps on the way. We could all be transported in different places, or worse, one of us could be in the wrong world. Gotham is set to be the destination though," she said as she pressed various buttons on the control pad next to the mirror. Once she finished doing whatever she was doing, the mirror lit up, revealing a tunnel vision through the mirror.
"Let's bring it on," Dash exclaimed. She immediately jumped through the mirror, surprising the other mares. Twilight was the second to go through, followed by Starlight.
Rarity was the last to enter through the mirror behind the rest of the crew.
"Rarity, wait," Spike called from behind.
Rarity abruptly stopped and faced Spike, "Yes, Spikey-Wikey?"
"Are you sure you'll come back, Rarity?" Spike said with concern. "I don't know what I'll do if something happens to you. Just be careful."
Rarity smiled sweetly down at the young dragon due to the care he had for her. She embraced the dragon with one foreleg around him. "Don't worry, I'll be fine. Don't you ever worry," Rarity said soothingly, she gave his forehead a small and brief peck, which caused Spike's cheeks to heat up. With that, she entered the mirror and vanished from Equestria, leaving Spike and the Crusaders.
Suddenly, the mirror unexpectedly began to vibrate and started flashing a blinding bright light. Spike and the fillies quickly shielded their eyes and immediately went for cover in case of an explosion. The mirror began to shake more violently as the seconds went on, frightening the fillies and the dragon. Then, it abruptly stopped. The Crystal Mirror now shut off after the shaking, Spike shot a panicked look as he stared at the mirror.
"Oh no," he muttered, worried if anything terrible happened to his closest ponies along the way.
I'm so happy the new chapter came out. A few tiny grammatic errors, but an awesome chapter. Also like that little Spike and Rarity moment.
I'm so hyped for the rest of the story. I hope the next one comes out very soon.
9120362
Thanks buddy! Glad you appreciate it. So yeah I've decided I added that little ship tease. As for the grammar issues...where are they so I can fix them?
This story is awsome please to more

'wasn't' should be 'weren't'
There's an 'r' missing in 'bought'. Between 'world' and 'human', 'of' should instead be 'with'
There doesn't have to be a 'you'
There's a comma missing behind 'Well'
'Greeting' is missing an 's'
'Johnathan' doesn't need an 'h' bewteen 'o' and 'n'
There has to be a comma behind 'Oh' and 'Honestly'
'her' has to be placed before 'friends''
'has' before 'had' must go away and there's an 'l' missing in 'Twiight'
Comma behind 'Yes'. 'has' behind 'Jealousy' should be 'had'. I think 'at' behind 'proud' should be 'of'
Shouldn't the comma behind 'hooves' be a dot?
[quoteTwilight then stepped with an impatient groan, "Are we ready to go now? We can't time waist time, y'know."]'time' between 'can't' and 'waist' should disappear.
'finding' should be 'looking for'
Comma behind 'Yes'
The waiting for this chapter during you temporary haitus was so worth it!
Despite the grammatical errors and random transitioning between past- and present-tense indicators in the first two sections of this story, I say it is a huge success and deserves all the acclaim it can get. This masterpiece is simply terrific!
Can I please make a suggestion?
Have you heard of the Scream franchise, starting with 1996 horror-thriller film "Scream." If not, here is a basic summary of the general conception of the film: Teenagers who are self-aware of the rules of surviving a horror film based on pre-existing, real-life horror films and series (Halloween, Friday the 13th, etc.) They effectively use such a knowledge to ensure, or attempt to ensure, their survival during the killing spree of an unknown masked killer in a full-body costume who uses a voice changer/voice modulator to modify to conceal their identity. This killer, too, is aware of the Rules and also utilizes them to strike fear into their victims' hearts.
What I hoping for is for this story to be more self-aware based on the previous events in Arkham City while the typical cliches are also scrapped in light for more unprecedented occurrences to build more suspense. For example, let's just say the Mane 6, Starlight Glimmer, and Trixie were successfully teleported altogether, showing the mirror's unexplained tremors was not foreshadowing a mishap. What the readers do not know , though, is the tremors still have some significance to foreshadowing something much more unexpected. (The Scream films utilize this effectively, using the soundtrack to build up suspense for a jump scare, which never happens while still putting the viewers on the edge.)
Please, I beg for the a new, unique story unlike all the others. These days, adventure-mystery thrillers have grown to lose their appeal since the cliches are way too familiarized nowadays. Everytime I read a story, I somehow manage to expect something due to the obviousness of the situation.
My apologies, I must not be rude.
Whatever you think best should be fine since the story is already going out very smoothly in flying colors.
Thank you for producing this adventure-filled thriller!
9121904
Fixed! Are there anymore?
9122455
Yeah, I think I can understand where you're coming from. I promise you that I will try to give you something unique. So anything specific of what you not want me to do?
9123859
For the moment, no. But if I find some, I'll tell you.
My apologies. I should have not been so rude about my suggestion.
Anything should be fine, but I was hoping for something more original in concept. Something exciting and unexpected, unlike the typical elements found in the either blockbuster or usual adventure-thriller media. We need more unprecedented things such as those from the Scream movies.
How about things such as dramatic or terrifying expositions of suspense, such as the Chrystal Mirror's quaking, leadingt up to something entirely unrelated to a teleportation mishap. Also, how about make the antagonists' schemes less obvious, including plot twists or even clues leading somewhere else partially related.
Try watching notorious scenes of Ghostface's bone-chilling phone calls from Scream, Scream 2, and Scream 3. Maybe avoid Scream 4. I am suggesting something so unbelievably mind-blowing while keeping readers on each.
9124746
No it's fine about your suggestion, I'll think of something of what you said. I do like reading other's thoughts after all. I always do like the idea of being more original.
Thank you!
I really like fanfictions, especially those horror-themed.
* Oh, um, can you bring back reporter Vicki Vale from the original story, this time with a more major role, please? I get she was just there for some action and drama in the original story. She was comically insignificant to the overall plot, but it would be SO AWESOME if she had a larger, more involved role in this story.*
Hey, just wondering: In the Scream films, if you have watched any of them that is, who was your favorite killer? Mine is Roman Bridger, this being as he was indirectly involved with the original killings as well as the copycat murders. In addition, he had new technology to asist him in hiding his identity and confusing the buck out of his victims (his voice modulator was able to mimic the exact voices of anyone, thus making finding who the killer really was impossible.)
9126038
Yeah, but it'll be tough to add other character's, like Vickie Vale that weren't apart of the canon story. I'm already thinking of a way to have Clayface return.
And for the Scream films, I've only watched the first one. I enjoyed myself watching it.
May I make some suggestions of self-awareness characters may rely on and utilize throughout the story?
1. Splitting Up (ProCon)
a) Usually, splitting up in a different environment results in confusion and disarray, the worst-case scenario being any conflict or crisis.
b) On the other hand, if a considerable amount of the population in a larger group are well-suited to being capable, reliable leaders, splitting up has an advantage if the intention is to not draw attention to that group.
2. Help Needed or Seeking Help
a) Trust no one, the exception being those who can be absolutely trusted.
b) Always stick with those who are trustworthy, flee and/or rid of those untrustworthy (whether from suspicious strangers to definite foe).
3. Advantages & Disadvantages
a) Use all advantages when given the chance or necessary. Whether it be abilities/capabilities to havens/shelters, take all advantages and cherish them.
b) When at a disadvantage, there is always an advantage based on said disadvantage.
* Such disadvantage may include include vulnerability or lack of strength. Ironically, the paradox may be to utilize said disadvantage to gain. Say there are adorable ponies in Gotham City, and some villains are unaware of their influence in upcoming events. Strategy is to utilize said adorable and likeable nature to seem harmless/worthless to gain sympathy or albeit being passed by and left alone. *
Any other examples of self-awareness should be quite generic and easily utilized.
Um, can you update Fluttershy's personality to the modern example. Currently, she has grown more brave, confident, courageous, and overall assertive. Ever since Season 4, she has grown stronger and more distant from that supposedly extremely timid and weak filly, even developing cheeky or snarky ways to confront and/or tease people. Just ask her younger brother Zephyr Breeze, or even Rainbow Dash and the other Mane 6; they could vouch for her latest development.
9132395
Oh yeah! Fluttershy has changed to be more confident. And this story does take place after season 6 after all. My bad, lol! Apparently I was debating whether I should have her as her old timid self or her to be more bold that she recently is. Don't worry I'll fix that minor "Continuity" error in later chapters. It's kind of too late to change things in this chapter already.
I was wondering if you could explain something to me.
You know how a wide variety of fanfictions and fictional novels in general, why does the gag of brushing off others' speculations of something amiss soon going to happen always a reoccurring and widely used concept. You know, "I have a bad feeling about this," or "Did you hear that," followed by something annoying like, "Oh, it's nothing," or "It's just your imagination."
Can you change this, please?
Also, can we have Discord in this fanfiction sequel?
I mean, what kind of chaotic setting of crime and discord would be enlightened somehow by the Lord of Chaos himself! Also, I was wondering if he could play a major role in countering the antagonists.
Okay, maybe adding Discord into the story gives the protagonists way too much of an advantage, but how about Selina "Irena Dubrovna" Kyle or Holly Robinson as the Catwoman?
For the strangest reason, upon re-reading the original story, I couldn't help but to recall the cleansing of the Elements near the ending.
I strangely thought of the alchemist's quotations about gold and the Philosopher's Stone, "By the elements combined," folowed by something along the lines of purity or measureless value.
* Imagine reporter Vicki Vale or Twilight Sparkle referencing that, heh heh! *
Also, can we not involve an Equestrian villain in this story. So far, all major antagonists in Equestria are laid low or dealt with so they are powerless or 'dormant.' Also, this is Season 6 and not Season 8, in which Chrysalis makes a failed and pointlessly botched attempt at revenge against Starlight Glimmer.
9140759
Don't worry, I have no plans for any Equestrian villain to be apart or even related to this story. It's just the Mane Six teaming up with Batman to fight off his own foes and to be different from the game itself to add that on. This will have the same base plot where Scarecrow threatens with fear and so on and so forth. And yeah, this is after season 6, but before season 7. Between Episodes "To where and Back again" and "Celestial Advice".
9140759
I'm very thankful for all your thoughts and suggestion you've given me. I will try as hard as I can to satisfy those who read this story. And for Discord to be part of this. I don't know if he can fit in on any role that is Batman related. Since he cares about Flutters so much, it could be possible if he could make a somewhat minor appearance in the near future.
Well dang Spike what about Twilight she’s just the mare who I don’t know both hatched your egg and raised you!!!
Joking aside I do think Spike should have shown concern for Twilight as well.
I do think this chapter could use some touching up with the grammar.
Would be funny if Discord somehow showed up in a chapter especially with Batman’s Joker hallucinations commenting on his antics.
9147800
Any errors you can show me?
9147922
Ok, I can’t put my finger on it but something about this paragraph feels off. For example: “And after that, after a lot of thinking I have come to realization that I regretted it,”
“I have come to the realization...” would be better and I think there are similar problems like this in the chapter.
9147945
Thanks for pointing things out. Let me know if there are anymore problems here in this chapter. I'm sorry, I tend to not know my own mistakes in writing.
Remember Comment #14, where I had a list of ways the both Batman and his Equestrian friends could rely on self-awareness, how about this one.
1. Whenever there comes to a situation where an individual or group are been pursued by a clumsy antagonist, and they manage to knock them off their feat yet decide to continue fleeing? Well, we really should start scratching out that and replacing it with this:
a) If said antagonist is simply a follower in the band wagon or a conflicted henchman/minion, convince him/her there is a better way to live.
b) If antagonist truly is devoted to the antagonist's/antagonists' cause and/or is said antagonist, then the best move after impeding their pursuit is to ensure they are unable to continue. Being that this is Arkham City and Gotham City with Batman acting as prime law-enforcer and vigilante of justice, killing them will not be one the choices. However, handcuffing, incapacitation, or wounding them to a degree where they are unable to serve said cause any longer. Batman has relied on this, obviously, by knocking them out, somewhat seaming them, and in the case of the Joker in one of the films, breaking their neck. Maybe the final method is rather extreme, but the setting and situation are also categorized as brutal, right?
*It did not take long to realize the previous story was just a chronological sequence of both the comics and films, so the Joker's death and Penguin's defeat were not too surprising. Therefore, I was wondering whether this fanfiction sequel is more original in its plotline?*
Sorry, I do not mean previous statement in a rude way; I was curious about whether I should look into the Batman and Marvel franchises again or not.
I am so excited to read about Batman finding out the return of his equine friends, especially when he now has Twilight Sparkle as a powerful alicorn princess, a fangirl idolizing him while also taking his role too, a unicorn who once conned an entire village of their cutie marks, and a talented magician who knows how to utilize her illusions in combat.
I love your work on this installation to the "My Little Arkham" series!
The following are just suggestions for advantage points each character has:
1. Twilight Sparkle - Heightened magic, logical, and a quick thinker. Equipped with books - including the book of advanced magic Celestia gave her in the previous story - she is able to advance herself and her friends in times of desperation. Despite her occasional freak outs, she is relatively collected even in the most crucially dire situations.
a) Her crown contains a gem that apparently is capable of warping reality itself, as you may recall in the Equestria Girls films and shorts.
b) Twilight's magical prowess ranges from combat spells, healing spells, mind-control, and temporary immobilization or petrification of individuals or crowds.
2. Applejack and Pinkie Pie - Both are strong, but Applejack is more athletic while Pinkie Pie is more energetic, impossible, and random.
3. Rainbow Dash - Athletic and capable of breaking the sound barrier, which results in the Sonic Rainboom.
a) Could Rainbow Dash utilize the Sonic Rainboom as a potentially lethal weapon in this story. For one thing, it is not winter, so she would not have much of a problem with diving or flying at required sppeds.
4. Fluttershy - Kind and timid, but has improved over the past two years since Season 4. Capable of mind-control or manipulation via the Stare, and is now assertive enough to readily stand down opponents.
a) Able to communicate with animals, Fluttershy is able to call on them for assistance. In addition, she has extensive, first-hoof experience and knowledge about animal behavior and sociology. Fluttershy may utilize said knowledge to plan her own tactical methods of picking off antagonists - whether one by one, or in groups.
5. Rarity - Not as skilled as Twilight Sparkle, but she still has a prowess of her own. This prowess may prove dramatically lethal.
6. Starlight Glimmer - In her past, this unicorn was able to con an entire village of their cutie marks, create a spell for time travel and alteration, and assisted in both the restoration of the Chrystal Heart as well as lead and participate in a daring rescue mission as a rag-tag team against a changeling hive.
7. Trixie - This showmare is cunning, deceptive, innovative, and well utilizes simple illusions. Daring, she is willing to take risks for her friends.
8. Bruce Wayne (Batman) - The usual, but now is aided by otherworldly companions.
9. Vicki Vales - Despite being a simple reporter who is frankly nosy and overly enthusiastic in her career despite dire situations of peril, she may have potential as a spy. As a reporter, she has access to exclusive information, and has first-hand experience with both the Dark Night and the Equestrians.
These are just suggestions.
Can we please not have Twilight somehow conveniently forget she is capable of advanced magic? Also, can we have it that she studied the book from the previous story?

Sorry about me replying after so long! I was preoccupied with so many things in life for my senior year of High School. Hope I didn't make you think I was dead.
Regarding Comment #83, "Whoa, that's rather dark."
Regardless, congratulations during your senior year. I wish you the best of luck. Adulthood is a big step towards new insights, maturity, and wisdom. Not only is it a time where you can be independent and self-relying, but growing up also opens many doors for you to fulfill your destiny. Despite the new burdens and responsibilities, adulthood is also a stage of individual freedom.
Oh, ... um, ... were you able to read any of the recent suggestions (Comment #66, Comment #69, Comment #81, Comment #82)?
9212787
Thanks and yeah. Glad you posted those suggestions. And here's a secret...I have finished a rough draft written on a journal for the next chapter. But I have yet to type it in. Not everything in the rough draft will be final and some things will be subject to change.
The sequel is going great so far. I really enjoyed the prequel of this story and I am willing to see the story advance from this point.
PS: although some grammatical errors and wrong choice of words, the story is doing great overall, and its ok to take your time in writing the chapters.
When is the next chapter
These are rules of self-awareness regarding foreign sites an individual or group should follow:
1. Stay Together - When together, the group is able to manage itself rather than splitting up.
2. Determine and Dealing with Friend or Foe - Trust only those who are completely trustworthy, be wary of the rest. It is also a necessity to be aware of the types of people residing or present.
a) Antagonists - The Mane 6 are already familiar with some antagonists based on the previous installment of the "My Little Arkham" series. In addition, thanks to Victor Fries's holographic projection - somehow projected by himself through Celestia's aura, - the Equestrian allies of Batman are aware of the Scarecrow. In their alliance with Batman and the Bat Family, and potentially a network with reporters like Vickie Vale, the Equestrians should seek full knowledge and understanding of all the villains' abilities, crimes, and should implore Batman to train them how to effectively combat physically without magic in case close-combat is instigated.
b) Establish alliances with those you can trust. The more connections and support, the more successful you may be.
3. Never Leave New Arrivals Uniformed - Vitally essential since the last thing we need is for members to be utterly clueless as to what they are dealing with. Sure, Celestia and Twilight did inform Starlight and Trixie on the circumstances and conditions of Arkham City and Gotham City, but actual experience and wintnessing are required to prepare them for the corruption and horrors of the human world.
4. Utilize All Advantages and Even Disadvantages - Combat skills, flight, illusions, magic, strength, tactics, and technology are essential to succeed in apprehension, incapacitation, maneuvering, and navigation, etc.
The ponies, being cute and irresistible can utilize their appearance to hide their true capabilities and motivations.
5. Twilight Sparkle and Starlight Glimmer are very skilled in magic, both being skilled at it in its various fields and uses. Rarity, though not as involved in those fields of magic, is still capable. Trixie is talented in illusions and has learned to improve her magical prowess, this due to assistance and training with Starlight. Pegasi are fast in flight and can manipulate weather, Earth ponies are strong, and Pinkie is impossible.
Can the Mare Do Well costumes be utilized in this story to conceal the ponies' identities? I thought that, since Pinkie Pie is capable of carrying many things or producing them - she probably has more magic than alicorns and unicorns combined, - she could have them on her.
Otherwise, Pinkie may be able to provide camouflage outfits or an entire arsenal on her own.
The plot of this story, unlike that of the previous story, may take place for over a week or so.
With this knowledge, I was hoping for more personal interactions between the humans and ponies when not occupied with bringing justice and enforcing the laws.
Can we bring the other members of the Bat Family and maybe Catwoman into this story?
In likes to Comment #34, can a true companionship be established between the Bat Family and some other humans and the ponies.
It joust that, in the previous installment, it seemed Batman was not too appreciative of the ponies' efforts and was using them as his arsenal and tag-alongs. In this story, can we include moments of relationship development and sentiment whenever the protagonist are not busy. After all, despite this following the timeline of "Batman: Arkham Knight," I feel it would be better to diverge from the typical set-up of merely following the exact plot of the film but with ponies. After all, the antagonists do not cooperate together and do not always go active simultaneously or in a sequence.
Please, let's make this more heart-felt and unique; include actual congregations of the protagonists for a meal, trading stories, etc. It would be so bland if the story was a carbon copy of the film's plot.
9238384
Working on it.
Ok
9236360
Thanks! Would you mind if you tell me which mistakes by me you've found?
9245049
Your prologue appears to have some minor mistakes such as using "had" more frequently, instead of using have. However like I said, only minor mistakes and nothing major. Can't really point out any major or minor grammar mistakes though. Overall, the story is still entertaining and having high hopes for this sequel of the story of little Arkham.
Remember the scene in which Pinkie Pie speaks with Pinkamena in the previous story before being abducted by the Mad Hatter?
In this story, can we diverge from the typical belief that Pinkamena is a psychotic alter ego or phantismal entity? Rather, can we have more of her, making her almost a entirely separate character. Instead of making her a snarky pony with malicious intents, can we diverge from the typical fan beliefs and have her actually capable of compassion, kindness, and love for Pinkie and the others, thus, she may be a contribution to the story.
Can we have the other characters aware of Pinkamena's existence in this story, Please?
9246566
Hmm...I haven't thought of having Pinkamena in this story.
9246246
Ah Thanks...I appreciate the support of this story.
9243207
Yeah I have thought of the relationships between Batman and the ponies. Don't worry I got that covered.
The reason I suggested having Pinkamena as a protagonist in this story is because of a sad-tragedy headcanon I found on this fanfiction network - Primum Non Nocere: The Secret of the Mad Mare's Precognition.
Aforementioned story focuses on the life of Pinkamena Diane "Pinkie" Pie before the earliest events featured in the canon series through flashbacks. As a filly, she suffers loss to her family to a 'galloping blaze' to the place of her birth - the story does not actually use those words, though I wanted to use it to reference "Gypsy Bard." Now under the care of Ms. Sunblossom, a divorced widow running an orphanage, and is haunted by the same re-occurring nightmares of the incident along with the presence of a menacing, older incarnation of herself. Contrary to what the readers' beliefs throughout the enrie story, this entity is not related to the 'Pinkamena' OC or Pinkamena Diane herself whatsoever.
*Please read below for better understanding*
SPOILERS Ahead
Pinkamena Diane is a orphaned filly due to a fire, of which she was the only one to escape. When the story begins, she has been under the care of orphanage runner Ms. Sunblossom, whom Pinkamena has a liking to. Shy and still traumatized from the incident, the pink filly secludes herself from the others. Unbeknownst to all, Pinkamena has occasional encounters with this menacing, older figment of herself whom always taunts her. Pinkamena also forms bonds with some of the other staff members, especially the cook, Walter. Walter shows Pinkamena a photograph of the Sunblossom family, to which he explains the filly Aster Sunblossom had died, though the reason of which he does not explain.
As her stay in the orphanage continues, Pinkamena begins feeling more and more insecure and wary of the other fillies, even suspicious towards Ms. Sunblossom's seemingly unctuous behavior - this is not so, simply that Ms. Sunblossom wishes for a daughter again and wishes for it to be Pinkamena. These believes and emotions cause the entity to manifest itself to Pinkamena more ofteh. One night, Pinkamena decides to ease her conflicting beliefs and emotions by walking, which eventually leads her alone and somewhat trapped in a cooridor. Hesitantly ascending the stairs while chilled at a pressuring vibe in the atmosphere, she locates a room with many tomes of notes, texts, and nonsensical drawings and sketches related to some ritual. Eventually, Pinkamena locates a tome with instructions regarding said ritual allowing the one who practices it to have be precognative and even have full control of their destiny. With said spell, the entity takes over Pinkamena in order to gain absolute control, however, Pinkamena's clumsiness causes said ritual to be imperfectly completed, to which the tome had stated "Be advised, an imperfect mixture will give imperfect results." As the ritual must be performed three times for it to be effective, the phantasm haunting Pinkamena takes control over her and selects and abducts an unsuspecting colt from the orphanage's mess hall. In a rather Cupcakes-esque fashion, Pinkamena - still under influence by the doppelganger of her - brutalizes the colt and prepares the 'mixture' specified by the tome - this being blood and viscera, - followed by completing the ritual. It is foreshadowed the doppelganger was once a living pony herself as this is the second ritual performed, despite Pinkamena only having done this for the first time. Pinkamena is sent again to claim a victim, this time being Ms. Sunblossom herself. The doppelganger, at least now having more physical manifestations through Pinkamena herself, spouts off regarding a corrupted and twisted philosophy, which it seems Ms. Sunblossom recognizes later. The third, and final, repeat of the ritual is performed and Pinkamena finds herself in complete control over herself. The ritual, not granting the doppelganger its desires, does have an effect on Pinkamena - these shown as she is capable of warping her body to do rather impossible things, these things almost second-nature to her now. Freeing an injured Ms. Sunblossom, Pinkamena carries the injured caretaker upon her outstretched tail outside of the hidden basement or cellar located beneath the floorboards. Before leaving, however, Ms. Sunblossom asks Pinkamena to tell 'her' that she forgives 'her' for the murders and the pain recently inflicted. Ms. Sunblossom is treated for her broken hind leg and stab wound by Nurse Redheart while Pinkamena is taken to meet the Pie family, of whom she meets Limestone and Marble, then briefly encounters Igneous Pie - the twins' father.
Long story short from here, Pinkamena and the twins get along well enough, and both Cloudy Quartz and Igneous Pie decide to adopt Pinkamena after being persuaded by Ms. Sunblossom for 'Pinkamena's own safety.' Pinkamena feels judged by the Pie family, especially the parents and Maud, but is reassured by Granny Pie. Upon telling Granny Pie about her fear of the darkness, although the reader knows she is truly afraid of the doppelganger entity lurking there, Pinkamena is told to laugh her fears away - this references "Giggle at the Ghosties." Pinkamena does so and overcomes her paranoia that the entity may still be able to take control and hurt the other members of her new family.
While working one day, Pinkamena witnesses Rainbow Dash's Sonic Rainboom and feels her first joy after so long. Seeing the slouched figure of the depressed doppelganger sitting on a rock, Pinkamena comforts her and assures her that life can still have happiness. Telling, the entity - now revealed as the residual spirit of Aster Sunblossom herself - about Ms. Sunblossom's request to tell Aster about forgiveness, Pinkamena helps Aster come to terms with her past. Aster briefly remarks on how Ms. Sunblossom was and still is a strong mare despite the pain and suffering, then temporarily becomes life-like. They hug before Aster bids Pinkamena farewell, apologizing for the 'curse' Pinkamena is now inflicted with as a result of the ritual. Shrugging it off, Pinkamena optimistically takes this 'curse' as a gift - thus, the Pinkie Sense along with her other impossible abilities. After Aster departs, assuring Pinkamena they will still be together and spread happiness to all ponies to atone for the suffering they had once inflicted. Pinkamena's mane and tail became fluffed and frazzled due to the wind of the Sonic Rainboom as well as having danced briefly, she adopts the nickname Ms. Sunblossom and Granny Pie temporarily dubbed her with, and begins her life as Pinkie Pie. The story continues where one of the earliest Mane 6's flashback memories left off, with the pink mare throwing the Pie family a party to cheer them up ("The Cutie Chronicles").
See what I am pointing at?
The story Primum Non Nocere: The Secret of the Mad Mare's Precognition puts a positive side in the end for the 'Pinkamena' OC, even though the entity turns out to be Aster Sunblossom.
Now, since the aforementioned story of this and the previous comment is just a headcanon, the Pinkamena OC character does not necessarily need to be Aster Sunblossom aiding Pinkie Pie and the others - especially since the previous story features her mocking Pinkie when she is left alone. However, if you do plan on bringing her back, I was hoping you could diverge from the fan base's Cupcakes-related or the "Party of One" incident. Please, do consider having Pinkamena show a bright and protagonist air about her and be acknowledged by the other ponies and Batman if you do indeed bring her back into the limelight?
Did you get a chance to read my suggestions on something similar to the reformed Aster Sumblossom as Pinkamena from Primum Non Nocere: The Secret of the Mad Mare's Precognition?
Of course, the previous story esablished a cruel incarnation, so Aster Sunblossom is not the identity.
However, we can establish that Pinkamena only acts cruel as to help Pinkie be resistant to other evils or stay strong and tough. If this path is followed, can we establish a connection between the other Equestrians and humans with Pinkamena, who eventually learns to be more compassionate, kinder, and more open. Let's please not make yet another Cupcakes-related incarnate or Cupcakes references as to diverge from the typical fan base view. In addition, can Pinkamena potentially be used as an advantage for our protagonists?
9270667
Interesting...yes I did read your suggestions...but this chapter is coming up rather slow. Like very slow. xD I see how you would like to see Pinkamena in the good side.
So, just curious. Is this story, like the original, a carbon copy of the actual film it was stemmed from or is it a divergence?
If not a carbon copy, then it would make sense for the sentimental interactions, making room for more relationship establishments rather than a constant onrush of the same events we would expect if we saw the film this story stems from.
Does Twilight Sparkle still possess that tome of advanced magics from the previous installment?
Do the Equestrians get their own arsenal and databases they could use to counter antagonists while also being aware of the threats they face? Please, give them a means of better understanding their situation with the antagonists by file records or profiling documents of those like Cobblepot, Oswald; Crane, Hohnathan; Dent, Harvy; Isley; Nigma; and Quinzel, Harley. It would be a lost cause if they underestimated the villains. Also, maps or navigation systems should be provided to ensure one does not get lost.
Do the Equestrians receive their own cowls and disguises, or are adapted Mare Do Well costumes suit them more. After all, Pinkie Pie is somehow always prepared for anything. Remember when she and Rainbow Dash displayed great endurance and speed, capable of even suffering fatal damage yet being perfectly fit to continue in normal activities or confrontations.
Does Batman become more open to help from others not associated with the Bat Family, such as Vickie Vale?
Do Starlight Glimmer and Trixie utilize their own specialties in unique fashions to assist the others?
Oh, how about also adding a twinge of comedy? Maybe hilarious sarcasm, insults to injury given to the antagonist henchmen, and lots of fourth wall-breaking?!
9274920
No this will NOT be a carbon copy from the original. No, no, no, no for that!
Rainbow Dash will be the only one to wear the cowl. I don't really see the others wearing it. Nah, I don't see Batman becoming more open tbh, I still see him as stubborn. I mean...Vickie Vale is dating Bruce Wayne during the game, so possibly more angles and depth? I mean where the hell was Vickie Vale throughout the game? We only saw until the end. You'd be crazy if I didn't have Pinkie Pie come prepared for her return to Gotham! She's got some big surprises for Gotham's Rogues upon her return, don't even question her about it. I'm pretty sure the Mane Six has a better understanding towards, Oswald, he'll definitely want some revenge against the Ponies when he comes across one of them. I do agree that they do need to become more familiar about Two Face, Ivy, Harley, and mostly Scarecrow for that matter. GCPD and Batman do have the criminal profiles after all. They're certainly going to be unfamiliar with the Arkham Knight. Excuse me, would you mind if I had the Mane Six being scattered throughout the city? I know that concept might seem unoriginal to you, but I don't know, I'm just wondering. I am planning of Nigma having both Twilight and Catwoman as hostage since he does have a grudge towards her. Since Twilight is very advanced in magic, as you've said, she could easily escape under Riddler's watch, he does have those exploding collars, so I don't know.
I'll read that Pinkamena story you've suggested to me, it's interesting. Maybe I'll have Pinkiemena during when Mad Hatter comes into play...did I mention that season of infamy will be in this story? With Clayface being Mr. Freeze's replacement, of course.
Comedy you say? Pinkie would be the only one to break the fourth wall! Maybe a little comedic argument between Twilight and Nigma. Maybe sometime down the line, maybe a little comedy scene might pop in my head.
And here's a little spoiler:
Rainbow Dash will meet up with Batman whenever he rescues that first cop in Chinatown...basically the first mission. :P
Hi, it's me ... heheh, again!
Sorry if I am being a hastel to you. I am just really excited about this installment.
Sure! I guess I can take the cliche split-up due to the Crystal Mirror being incomplete in calibration.
Still, I was hoping the Equestrians could be just as mysterious as Batman by hiding their identities with the Mare Do Well costumes.
Alas, Bruce Wayne cannot be blamed for his reclusive behaviors towards others due to the pain and trauma of his past. Disappointing, but understandable since he does not want to lose those he loves again and keeps that so by being more distant. However, maybe he could at least show more compassion, faith, and respect towards his equine allies?
Maybe Twilight Sparkle could give Bruce some consolation and heart-felt advice about acceptance, determination, and the necessity of support. She could explain how he should accept the past, live the present, and set his sights on the future in order to improve his social dynamic and life. Besides, even if he is mostly the same, even Bruce has to show some more light emotions and feelings once in a while!
Remember how Vickie Vale was caught up in the sniper assault in a jet or helicopter in the previous installment. Can Rainbow Dash make a snarky remark on her behavior and reaction after being rescued from that incident again? Besides, I keep thinking of Vickie's invasive questions and overenthusiastic commentary from that scene in the story every time I recall her.
