That was... huh. Not sure what else to say then that was an experience, and a good one at that.

Thank you for sharing this story with me, and with all of us. I'm... not exactly the most attentive reader, and I do bad with things that don't involve a lot of dialogue, and in the last year or so I've had a hard time focusing on stories in general. But when I finished my first read(/skim??) through of it, I immediately knew I had to dig in further, so I re-read the thing 4 or 5 times, just sinking my teeth into the prose, the beautiful prose. I appreciate the conversation we had about it, and I'm really glad to see it up here.

This was a very thought provoking story. An isolated little town on the other side of a river surrounded in fog. It leads to a lot of questions - why did the mare not leave the town before? Why are the ponies content where they live here? It could easily not even be a pony story with how mysterious the setting is. Is this bridge really as impressive as the character thinks it is, or is it just that way because it's all she's ever known? A fascinating concept.
