Princess Mi Amore Cadenza is much beloved by the ponies of Equestria, but behind the scenes she struggles with balancing her personal life, obligation to royal duties and increasing frustration with those who would sooner suck up to the future monarch than be a true friend. One faithful evening, during a particularly harsh snowstorm, she senses the unmistakable despair of a pony in trouble, and sets out to brave the Frozen North on a desperate search and rescue. What she discovers will lead her life in a direction that few would have imagined.
