I'm just a silly guy who likes collecting stories of many types! (Open to chat, but working hard everyday so late replies! Fun for the family.)

"My Fellow Americans, it has come a time where we must finally act out against the evil empire of this world. Or more so, the evil pact that seeks to destroy democracy as we know it. The Changelings and the Soviet Union along with the Warsaw Pact of the Eastern Block. Now, though, I suppose we can call it the 'Whole' Block, as it seems to have become all that is bad to be blamed on the whole pact, and also that being in the sense of two meanings for 'hole'." Reagan, the man the myth, and the legend is to bring about the doom of the Changeling-Soviet Pact. The Rapture is upon them all. (Equestria is the equivalent of Great Britain in this one shot)

Hey, that's what Eisenhower said to Guatemala a long time ago.

Holy, damn, shit. This is brilliant. You rarely get to read a satire these days, let alone a decent one! Satire isn't exactly a "politically correct" genre. If this was published somewhere printed, the media and critics would murder you.
Sweet with references and allusions, the only way this could get better if it wasn't 60 years outdated. Though, it is still somewhat relevant.

Ah, thank you! Hard to find many to like satire, and yes I did it with the knowledge that the media would make me look like the Union at First Battle of Bull Run. As old of a term it is, I like trolling the modern media and their rampage at taking things literally (that goes for most mainstream media not just one side), and plua I take it as a way to try and lighten moods a little when people show the meanness of the world live. Thank again for liking it, I posaibly will be making some more content or work on War of the Crowns.

Thank you for writing it! This is the most awesome written thing I've seen in a really long while. Satire always was a rare genre, so seeing anyone with the gut to write one of these always feels like a red-letter day.

Satirists, although always having many-many enemies within the most dangerous people, are always very necessary. Satirists are the people brave enough to bring the spotlight on something everyone knows, but don't risk saying, let alone laughing at.
Charles Dickens, Jonathan Swift and, of course, John Gay (guess where the modern swearing came from), are the examples of why we need satire.
John Gay, for one, was a very infamous personalia even during his life. His "The Beggar's Opera" shook the entire British society to the very highest echelons. While the aristocracy was shocked, the common people totally loved it! Including even the very people the opera was laughing at, the criminals. Can you imagine a drug dealer somewhere in getto getting excited by a new theatrical premiere?
Well, John Gay managed to inspire the London gang leaders of 18th century to take interest in cultural events! Imagine the faces of Lords and Ladies when they saw who was sitting next to them in the audience hall, enjoying the performance alongside them!
The power of satire for you!

By the by, ever heard of Spitting Image?

The British TV caricature, yes? I did hear of it, but I never watched any episodes. Around my place, you don't need no TV to laugh at the surrounding reality. Laugh becomes a survival necessity once things get bad enough. Life itself starts looking like black comedy.

I hear that! It's that and the show that really gave me bits of inspiration to write satire here and there. It's a really good show though, give it a watch if you get the chance!

That time may not come soon, but I will remember it. Thank you.

Your very welcome friend! Have a good day/night!

There is a certain twinge of unrealism in the premise if you abstract equestria and changeling hive as human nations, being aligned the way they are. Most depictions of Chrysalis actually point them to being pseudo, or complete, fascists. They don't have a free-market because that doesn't exist in Equestrian society at large yet, and also the fact that they literally cannot do so in their current biological state combined with their political state, being too hyper-militarist to trade. Equestria has a similar economy, only now going through the bourgeois economic revolution as we watch. Equestria's current leader trends toward Canadian social democracy, or simply Neo-liberalism but "cute" in some sense, but, without the proper information, the Soviet ideals would be more appealing to Equestrians than the american ones, as they rely on an economic system that has not been fully developed in their lands, and will seem, or is noted to be, quite cruel, leading to a soviet alignment.

Simply put, none of these four nations are completely faultless or great. Changelings would act similar to the Saudi government in relation to the US, allowing the most amazing, undeniably impossible levels of spying that one could create (to put it back to the Saudis, they have reliable oil in equivalence), and the U.S would then, if wanting this as to gain a 1984-esque grip on their civilians (which could apply to both human nations, truthfully), but to complete this metaphor, the changelings would likely align with the U.S due to Chrysalis likely being invited to be studied sort of way.

The realistic scenario goes like this.

Equestria and the human world collide in some fashion. "Eqqus" becomes a continent, somehow safely forming between the Atlantic and pacific. Celestia tries to grip around in this new world, after learning some of the languages, she begins reading up on them, fascinated by their cultures being so diverse, and how they opposed. Her initial goal is to unite humans under a banner similar to her own with ponies. Humans look at this occurrence with the widest shock that one could have, as almost everything about known myths are re-evaluated. This causes a panic that destabilizes most of the world, leading to greater authoritarianism (most likely) and martial law in many areas across the "free" and "unfree" worlds. Chrysalis, seeing an opportunity, orders her hive to first disguise as humans to a posturing game with the first power to get there. Most likely, either a Spanish, French, Portuguese, or American boat there first, and depending on who gets there, the hive may become open about it's fascist tendencies, alieninating itself- but I'm getting ahead of myself, let's focus on the negotiations. If Spanish diplomats got there, the francoists there would likely heavily alter the potential value the changelings could have, making them seem like human colonizers or other forms of negative fascism things that would get Americans and the Soviets to eye this group extremely. If American diplomats got there or other forms of communication, likely, after some slip up, the changelings would prove themselves to great spies, likely just asking for love to be fed on as commission. Whoever got that, would likely be able to completely ruin the other side, so both american and soviet diplomats (unless the threat of fascistic ideas within the nation turn away soviet support and xor american (it could only either be both or just soviet distaste, due to the stated impossibly of a red-brown alliance that many think was the intent of the division of Poland. Along with this, Equestria, being more selfless and kind, would likely first draw towards the USSR, but after some personal delegation, some revealing truth about the late USSR slips up, leading to Equestria to rouge on both areas. This, might be what leads to that rapture, from Equestria (complete or partially unknowing of the damage that may happen) goes rouge in some way and preforms a magical assault on one or both blocs, likely near the capitals. After changelings do their thing, this may lead to one or both sides thinking it was the other playing a long-con where they got Equestria on their side (covertly), then, because of this thought-of first strike, nukes are sent, and the world dies.
