She's looking at you. Yes you. And she is judging you with her eyes. There is no escape.

<3 I loved this story. A wonderful continuation from the last one :) Thank you!

“Bubelah, this is a hard time for them,” her mother said while the furrows above her eyes grew ever-deeper. “I don’t know if we should intrude.”

“We should do more than intrude,” Lime Tart said to her mother. “We should invade. With food. And drinks. And stuff. Because Stargazer’s mother can’t leave her house and I’ve been over there and they don’t even have any decorations.”

I love that line, don't intrude, invade (with holiday cheer). Maybe I'm a sucker for that kind of dramatic language, somewhere deep down.

I can see you're having lots of fun with the Authors Notes in this story.

Hello!

I like the way you played out Lime Tart's interactions with her parents!

Happy Life Day!

“I read my father’s books,” the colt replied. “If I read what he read, I can know what he knew, and that makes everything hurt a little less.”

This is just one of my favorite quotes from this chapter—if I even can take favorites from this in any capacity, but... wow. Wow.

Here, you've taken Stargazer, Lime Tart, and the rest of the cast, propped them up, and just brought out even more goodness. Your characterization in this chapter particularly has once again blindsided me. By now, I feel like I should have expected you to bring out all this horsey-goodness from your fillies and colts, but I suppose most of the delight comes from the surprise.

And what a delightful tale it is.

Christ, thanks so much for this, Kudzu! You are a word machine, but you are our word machine!

Happy holidays to all!

You don't save Upside-Down Cake.

They go stale that way. Fortunately, this one has been served.

I do appreciate how Kudzu has kept that filthy fudge word out of the mouths of foals and adults alike here.

This being a Christmas Story Hearth's Warming Story and all.

And to all a good night. Thank you for a very good pony story, it is a gift unexpected but happily found under our tree.

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Wednesday whichever y'all prefer. I don't usually comment but yes I am enjoying this so far, much like I enjoy all of your stories

Weren't they going to talk to the police? I'm guess either it won't happen or it will just not in this chapter. Cause like, there's a difference between bullying and threatening, and like, actually following through with it.

I'm theoretically an adult and I don't like what I see in the mirror, so it's great that she can do it and like it, great christmas gift

I tried to make whipped cream by hand for the first time the other day and goodness I don't know how anyone does it. 10 minutes of hard whisking in and there was barely a trace of change to the texture of the cream. It took another solid 10 minutes using an electric whisker on high to finish. That stuff is hard work, but well worth it.

Aww I loved it great gift this winter season :) Hope you have a nice Christmas Kudz

“Oh, candy canes and peppermint sticks.”

For a second I thought this was another kid-friendly pony swear, then I realized this was just what they were buying.

This was fantastic. I love the way that you write Equestria, how all of the good and bad of life is reflected through these characters. Thank you for another wonderful story, and happy holidays!

If one is to invade someone's house, they might as well bring food and merryment :P

This was a goodun.

If Ebenezer Scrooge could be saved, so can Upside-Down Cake.

Please save Upside-Down Cake. Please!

A heartwarming Hearth's Warming story. And a great story in and of itself.
Thank you Kudzu, it's a great gift.

Merry Christmas and a Happy Hearth's Warming.

Merry Christmas
A Happy Hearth's Warming
and Frohe Weihnachten
to you all

Congratulations on the seasonal solstice-adjacent holiday of your choice.

And damn, poor Pidgeon did not have an easy time of life, huh?

Oh, Upside-Down? Definitely.

What I'm interested in seeing is how Treacle turns out, and by extension, this brewing small-town drama story that's happening in the background.

Thank you Kudz. I needed this. I cant even tell you why, but I did.

A Fleabag's generosity is a fine thing.

I feel like a pegasus would be uniquely qualified to not like the weather.

“I could show you some constellations if you’d just open the box, Stargazer.”

“Are you going to show me your butt?” the cautious colt deadpanned.

All of Lime Tart’s air escaped in one prolonged wheeze. He had her dead to rights. She was slain. Finished. Done.

:rainbowlaugh:

These two are precious beyond belief.

I have a problem with winter holidays, and as such, i almost skipped this one. If you hadnt already enticed me with your expansive library of amazing works... I'd have scrolled on.

I very much like this story, and while i remember the fleeting moments of disappointment between updates in your work, it was well worth the wait twice over.

I have a problem with winter holidays, but thank you for this literary gift.

Yay! Diabeetus for Yule!

Excellent job as always, Kudz. Loving the development you're doing with this pair.

There was no wait with this one. It was released as a completed story.

Upside down has her life turned over.

This story seems to be missing something. like 5000 likes :yay:

I meant the wait between this and updates on your other stories. I dare say ive read asbout 90% of your weedverse.

But nopony will. If you need a foalsitter”—again, she hesitated and fought to find her words—“I wouldn’t even ask for anything in return. What I wouldn’t give to feel useful again. To have value.”

Still relevant. I’m on SSI, and need a support team. I could work part time, but the way the system is set up, if I do so, I lose my support team, so I can’t work even the 60 hours a month some people are allowed.

Regular insurance in the U.S. doesn’t cover case management, home health care, ride services (I have a walking disability & a service dog, Uber/Lyft are terrible at accessibility), etc.

But you never lose the desire to be useful. To be valued by people. To not be labeled a ‘taker’, or have people tell you ‘Oh, I’d die if I had to live like you!’, never mind I’m actually pretty happy on a daily basis.

Anyway, great story, I enjoyed it. A wonderful way to spend Christmas Eve and morning while knitting and mending!

This is the best Christmas present I've gotten this year. Thank you, Kudz.

A lot of things in this story—and this chapter specifically—that remind me of all the things I've lost. Like a youthful sense of optimism.

Over six months in college, I did a somewhat poorly executed experiment. I purchased a giant bag of freezy pops, attached a label that said "Free to eat, but please replace if you eat the last one", and left it in the dorm freezer. Total cost about $10. After a month, I ate the last, purchased another bag, and repeated. Same deal. The third time, I left it in the freezer with one left for a month. No takers. I purchased one more, and it was down to one left after a week, and stayed that way the last two months.

It's okay, if your a sucker than so am I.

I'm glad Blonde glomped her, because I know I wanted to after that.

A day late but no shorter for it, I'm so glad to have these words grace my eyeballs. Merry Christmas/Hearths warming

“Lime, do you want to drink eggnog and see who can burp the loudest?”

oh snap, Snogblocked by the nog :rainbowlaugh:

This is sweet. And adorable. And the cute pony needs more hugs.

A reminder if what the holidays should really be about. Happy belated hearth’s warming everypony. Happy Hearth’s warming.

“I’m acting perfectly normal for a panicking pegasus.”
“You’re not running around and clucking—”
“Tarty… that’s awful. Hilarious, but awful. You have your mother’s humour. Never use it for evil.”
“I’ll try.”

That's a good family talk. :)

We have one of those old fashioned crank beaters and I find I can make the whipped cream faster than I think. But, yeah, using a whisk would take a while. Guess that is one way to get some exercise?

10004233
I'm more surprised that someone didn't just eat the last one and leave an empty container!
