Often sometimes the simple things in life can bring such a serene comfort in all we do.
It's rather nice to see a rather unique look into Discord's day to day life, when he's able to truly appreciate the beauty of all things around him, and shaping it into something more.
This was quite a lovely piece, and sometimes simplicity is best. You don't always have to have some grand adventure to have a good story. Keep up the good work.

As you can see, the story itself is not driven essentially on a particular plot, but rather it's all centered on a single slice of life. Now when we think 'slice of life', it's easy to feature any of the Mane Six or if some fans are lucky there'll be stories with Spike. But not often do we see a passing of a time for Discord, all the while using his own matter of chaos in a rather simplistic fashion. And that faithful readers is just what this story promised: Simplicity at it's most effective nature.
In these trying times, it is always wisest to simple appreciate the joys of the of the small things in life. On how one single beautiful day and all its splendor can be more rewarding than what the media claims to be headliners. In a way, if this were to be envisioned as an animation of sorts fans are guaranteed to have a clearer picture as to what was in mind for this story. But for the time being, it's all up to the imagination of only our most 'supportive' fans as a little slice of heaven during the start of the new year.
