"You don't know pain until you crave a conversation with someone who is no longer alive."

This story is a rewrite of Anon-A-Miss: Another Way

Sunset has reached the point of no return. Life has torn her down enough to believe it’s worthless and pointless to keep going.

Sugarcoat is determined to change Sunset’s mind and do what she can to save the life of the person who’s stopped believing life will get better.

This is awesome dude I remember reading the original story years back.

I loved the original and the rewrite is looking very promising right now.

Great start. Looking forward to seeing more

While the author and readers know what this almost made Sunset do, the Rainbooms do have other options to consider. Alternatives that don't involve quite the shocked silent reaction.

You almost made her ...

  • cry.
  • believe you were really her friends.
  • return home.
  • start drinking.
  • do drugs.
  • quit school.

I would also like to point out that where I live, this is actually a pretty ideal time to be changing schools. Not as good as over summer vacation, but close. There are still a few days though to make all the required paperwork happen before the staff go on vacation. The semester is coming to an end, with a brand new semester is starting right after the Winter break. She just needs to able to get through her finals at CHS. Transferring halfway through a semester is a lot more awkward.

“Funny,” Sugarcoat said, “the only fools I can see are you five and I’m not very assumed.”

I assume you meant amused.

This is a drastic improvement over the original story thus far. Keep up the good work.

I loved the original story, so I am very much looking forward to this!

I don't think they are going try to guess because all they care about is blaming her for Anon-a-Miss. They are stuck on the path where sunset is guilty and can't look at the evidence.

Looking forward to where you go with this, I'm hoping you focus more on some events that happen between Sunset and the shadow bolts, maybe making it a longer story, not that the other two weren't great especially with how you used sugarcoat's character, I like losing myself in a good story...

Anyway hope you keep writing and I'm glad your still on here, so many people are leaving these days

They already made her cry when they left her. And she did believe they were her friends until the Anon-a-Miss thing happened.
The rest are possible.

The group fell silent as they thought about it. What could they have almost made Sunset do? Why did that even matter? It was their lives being ruined, not Sunset’s. Their secrets were being spilled, not Sunset’s.

Okay, Rainbooms… This is isn’t about you or your petty secrets that nobody with a fully functioning brain would give an actual fuck about! And if you think Sunset’s life isn’t being ruined, then maybe you should pull your pretty little heads out of your fucking asses and actually look at how Sunset’s being treated because you fucking accused her of being Anon-A-Miss in public with evidence so fucking flimsy that the whole fucking thing being a frame job set up by fucking children is fucking obvious! To put it bluntly: GROW! THE! FUCK! UP!

Always best to get your way by relying on someone else’s predictable obsession I suppose.

And considering that the secrets while embarrassing won't probably affect them in the real world. Unless someone did something actually bad the worst that happens is embarrassment.

Seriously. She really does know Cinch.
The old carrot and stick approach. Not to mention that's one juicy carrot Cinch won't be able to ignore.

I was hoping for more than sugarcoat working to save her. I thought the rainbooms would be wondering why sugarcoat believes she is innocent. And the cmcs would be going over the plan and enjoying sunset misery.

If I'm not mistaken, in the first version of the story, Sugarcoat mentioned at some point that he had already seen someone commit suicide, maybe the same thing happened in this new version of the story and that is why he is so sensitive with Sunset.

The cmcs aren't even a tag on this story. Do the Rainbooms even know Sugarcoat has been talking to Sunset?

11094423
Unless the author has another culprit in mind they always are the guilty ones and you don't have put everything in the tags just a few things that give a basic idea of who will be in it. And the rainbooms almost got called out but because sunset didn't want them knowing about what almost happened she just gave them a lecture on being bad friends and jumping to conclusions. Not that they paid attention to it for very long. Not long after sugarcoat and sunset left them they shrugged their shoulders about the lecture and went back to blaming sunset.

Cinch never stood a chance. Sugarcoat just sat there stroking her ego and bam T.K.O. 🤣

11094428
Just because the cmcs caused the problem doesn't mean a narrative with a tighter focus on Sunset trying to cope and move on from it would benefit from having them stuck in. Especially not if they're gonna do something so beyond the scope of their intent as to point and laugh. Misguided and/or shortsighted though they might have been, at least understand they didn't start Anon-a-miss for the lulz. They felt like Sunset got off too easy, and simultaneously they felt like their sisters/sister-figure were spending too much time with Sunset and leaving them neglected, and of course they're kids/tweens so they don't know how to communicate healthily.

11094503
Yes they are kids but they can plainly see the hurt they causing everyone around them but as long as sunset is miserable who cares about others including the people who you are trying to get their attention in the first place. And just because its about sunset doesn't mean they can't show other points of view concerning the situation.

“Sugarcube Corner.”

CRAP:applejackunsure:

Sunset would be able to tell them Canterlot’s weakness they had yet to discover, and would be able to give them insight on how to humiliate them even further. Principal Cinch wouldn’t be able to say no.

SO YOU JUST WANT TO USE HER THIS WHOLE TIME!!!?

Is this still a thing, cause if not I can just read the original...

Edit, 2/5/23 - I've read the original... like a lot... somebody tell me this is coming back...

“Who cares?” Rainbow said. “What does matter is why Sugarcoat is defending Shimmer.”

Am I the only one who's thinking she along with the other four are going to hell for this big time because I'm pretty sure a lot of people would f****** care
