If you need any advice a cute story of Spike and Smolder having a sleepover would be great! Or maybe Spike throws a Birthday Party for her? Or she spends Hearthswarming Eve with Spike and Twilight I even have a perfect cover picture for that.

Awww that's actually a pretty nice story seeing how Spike and smolder hanging out with each other and I really like that moment how those two get along really well even just hanging out this is a pretty nice story keep up the good work

A beautiful rendition and unique story telling. A different take on what makes a dragon explanation. The setting was nice driven moreso with the cover art.
Also when it comes to my telling of dragons eating meat, i never thought of snakes as one. Good inclusion

Thank you, I originally had Smolder using a stick to spear a fish, then flame it. But I decided on something more animalistic and natural. I see Smolder as a Omnivore, Spike as a Herbivore.

"Because you're a dork I guess." She popped her lips matter-of-factly, Spike quickly scrunched his snout in dismay at such a reply.

Called it! Of course, you're kind of a dork too, so it all evens up.

"It's not that bad." Smolder rolled onto her back giggling up a storm, both claws holding to her sides.

There are worse things.

"Being a dork isn't supposed to be hateful, how!?" Spike lifted his head as a look of growing anger scoured his face.

Because she is one? How have you not figured this out yet?

"You are a dork, like my brother. " She gave a calm and collected reply.

Aww! A Garble mention.

"He taught me everything I know, I miss his quirky actions. " She let her gaze fall onto her friend.
"And even if he acted tough, he had a good heart." Smolder cracked a smile thinking back to how he had taught her, most of what she taught Spike.
"I guess you remind me of my bro. You remind me of home…"

Aww! I love Smolder and Garble as siblings' way more than I thought I would.

"None, what binds us all are the passions within our hearts! " Smolder glanced at her nervous purple friend in amusement.

You've watched Kingdom Hearts haven't you? Don't lie, I know you have.

It was these moments that both seemed to cherish. A sharing of playful secrets and humble memories, the freedom of no judgment when expressing oneself.

I await the inevitable tea party. Given Spike knows Rarity and Fluttershy he's probably been to a few.

"As long as the fire here burns!" She pointed a delicate claw towards his chest as silence slowly filled the air.
"Then you are a dragon, never forget that." Smolder finished off with a long stretch upon the aquatic surface.

Aww! Smolder dispensing that sweet life advice. I seem to be ohing a lot with this story.

"Thank you for inviting this dork," He let the warmth in his heart be known in this private moment between them both.
"No problem, Brother." She replied with a genuine smile as the night filled with peace.

That ending is just so sweet.

Sweet slice of life. Language could use some spicing up and the tense was off at times, but on the whole, I enjoyed it, plus your take on their relationship. Great story.
