Meanwhile Soarin' isn't all that interested in dating Dash that much and Twilight is kinda in the same boat as Spitfire. To be honest I'm kinda hoping for Soarin' x Spitfire, because Soar-Dash shipping has been done to death. Which is odd because you'd figure the two characters that actually live/work together would be shipped more often. Something tells me that a fancy restaurant, a raging Wonderbolts fangirl and an oblivious moron with poor table manners will go together as well as gasoline and an open flame.

I don't know how this will turn out, and to be honest I don't care. All I know is this: it will be awesome one way or another.
awesome story so far, i did not see that twist coming with Twilights feeling being crushed like that. Although i'm not sure who twilight likes, RD or Soarin. we know RD's preference is Spitfire.
Twilight shoulda offered something a lil stronger than tea, spitty might have said yes then.

Another shining example of Rainbow's "Talking-before-thinking" habit. And I hate to sound like an unappreciative asshole, but this kind of attitude from Rainbow seems like the opposite of what you'd expect from the Element of Loyalty. Wouldn't Loyalty extend to relationships instead of just friends? Usually, this kind of portrayed attitude turns me away from stories, but I like your writing style, and I still carry hope for our dear sisters in the dreaded friendzone.
In other news, I'm loving the story so far. Keep it up.

I actually really like the way you've done this. It's really quite touching, and I can't wait to see Soarin'/Rainbow Dash get the metaphorical slap in the face when they realize that the relationships they're looking for are right in front of them.
Although you could surprise us all and pull a SpitTwi.
