I stared into my pillow as I sniffed as I faintly made out Diamond and Cloudkicker talking downstairs. Those stupid fucking kids. I don’t even know why they did it, no one has told us shit yet. For the first time in my life, I really wanna throw a person through a window.
“Hey uhm you okay?” Diamond asked hesitantly as I lifted my head to look at her and she took a step back. I hadn’t even heard her come up the stairs.
“No, DT I’m not,” I answered as she frowned and walked forward, sitting down next to me. “What is Cloudkicker doing?”
“Texting Trixie and her sister about what happened,” Diamond explained and held up a hand when I opened my mouth. “She’s telling them to not tell anyone yet, don’t worry. Redheart called Cloudkicker also. There’s gonna be an assembly on the last day this week for them to confess. Apparently our classmates also sent them secrets to post about people.”
“The same people who fucking accused me of it were sending in secrets?” I growled as I watched my eyes get more narrowed than before. Dear God, I looked awful. “None of them are fucking good people, I never should have saved them from the sirens.”
“Not even me?” Diamond asked with a hurt expression as my eyes widened.
“You’re the exception. Along with Kicker, Lavender, Cheerilee, Celestia, Luna, Raven, Fuchsia and Trixie. Presumably Wallflower since I’m gonna assume she was under their spell too.”
Diamond fell silent as I slumped back over in bed and curled up in a small ball.
“I have to say something but you’re not gonna like it,” Diamond admitted and I looked at her, gesturing her to continue as she inhaled. “I knew they were anon a miss. For about a week now, at least.”
“What?”
I sat up straighter as Diamond looked away.
“You know how anon a miss posted all that stuff about my mom and stuff?” Diamond asked as I slowly nodded. “I gave them it in person. But I never wanted to hurt you. As soon as I got mom and dad split up, I was going to turn them in. That’s why I was in the Principals office. I was giving up the three.”
“I-”
“I understand if you hate me and never want to see me again. I’ll pack my bags and go live in a shelter for a bit,” Diamond muttered as she tried to stand up and I placed a hand on her leg.
“I’m not mad nor do I hate you,” I answered as she gave me a stunned look and I gave an tired laugh. “I could never hate you. I’m disappointed more than anything else. I thought we were past you using people like that, DT.”
Diamond winced as I lifted my hand off her thigh and she flopped back on my bed with a sigh.
“That honestly makes me feel worse. I think I’d rather have you angry at me than disappointed. And I know, I thought I was too. I saw an opportunity and I took it. Aren’t you the one who told me to take any opportunities I see to make my life better?”
I opened my mouth to reply but paused. I did tell her that, she got me there. And she did technically do that.
“You got me there. I didn’t necessarily mean it like that but it did make your life better in the end,” I admitted and gave a dry laugh. “Next time though, just tell me or show me said evidence of your mom doing illegal stuff and I’ll deal with it myself.”
“Yeah I didn’t really think that one through,” Diamond admitted sheepishly as she dusted off her skirt and crossed her kegs. “Are you gonna turn me in to the principals?”
“No,” I said instantly as she gave me a confused look. “That would only get you in trouble and frankly, I don’t want you in trouble. Those three started the account for a stupid reason that I don’t know yet but you had decent intentions. And you did turn them in like you said you would. But I do expect you to make it up to me.”
“I figured as much. I’ll figure something out to make it up,” Diamond smirked slightly as she hugged me and I blushed slightly as I hugged her back.
“And besides, only the two of us know you’re involvement,” I shrugged as Diamond shrugged. “Right?”
“Wallflower knows too. She confronted them at one point when I was giving them information about my mom to post.”
“Well as long as she doesn’t blackmail you with it otherwise me and her will have issues, no matter how much I want to be her friend,” I grumbled as Diamond went pale. I didn’t think she would though, she and Diamond did seem to legitimately like each other.
“Wallflower may be rough around the edges but she means well. She just doesn’t really know to express herself half the time is all,” Diamond answered as Cloudkicker walked up the stairs slowly.
“I ordered pizza and pop for us. Figured you guys would want something easy, especially Sunset,” Cloudkicker shot me an apologetic look. “It’ll be here in about ten to fifteen. The others are justifiably angry right now about the thing but are keeping it quiet till Friday. Principal Celestia also said you can stay at home until then.”
I gave a nod and yawned slightly as Diamond straightened a box of tissues I had on my nightstand.
“I just realized something,” I said as they both gave me looks. “It was their own sisters. I can’t believe the fucking irony. It’s funny really. They blamed me yet the real anon a miss was right under their fucking noses the whole time.”
“Idiots will be idiots,” Diamond quoted. “I think your friend group now is better anyway. Plus, I get to practically live with you for a bit. I like it here. It’s more of my home than my actual mansion is.”
“That’s kinda sad,” Cloudkicker commented with a frown. “It is nice here though. I’ll leave you two to be for a bit.”
I watched Cloudkicker walk back down from the loft as I started to sit up as Diamond hugged me again.
“Can we stay like this for a while? It’s nice,” Diamond said as she blushed slightly.
Nodding, I hugged her back and laid down again. It was pretty nice to be honest.
And honestly, I could use hugs right now.
I can't wait for the rainbooms to realize what jerks they were. Diamond at least was trying to the right thing even she did go about in the wrong way.
And now Sunset finally feels what is to be on the other side of "The Parental Stare Of Dissapointmen", now she must understand how her mom felt when giving her those...
This tiny bit of Family Fluff with Sunset and Diamond was just borderline Cuteness Overload, I was kind of expecting Diamond to accidentally call Sunset "mom", specially since she does admit that she feels more at home in Sunset's house than in her mansion, very heartwarming.
Great job!
I hope to see more of this, but I have the feeling that regardless of the time set for the general anouncent at the school auditorium, Celestia will have to inform Rarity, Applejack, Big Mac and Granny Smith and Scootaloo's aunts inmediatly about why were they literally dragged into the principal's office by an angry teacher and the school's nurse, who is also just as angry as the teacher/ school librarian as this is pretty much a school system universal procedure.

Making sure no magical incidents happen doesn't equate to team participation. She can keep an eye out for trouble while the Wondercolts get swept.
Add the fact that the Rainbooms probably won't be feeling very harmonious and the chance of magical "shenanigans" slims even more.
Not to mention the balls required to ask Sunset to do anything to help the other students after all this would be astronomical in size.
11796961
Please take into consideration that even if she doesn't want to participate, (like in canon, if is not going to be the humane 5/Raimbooms goading her, is going to be her new friends as the want to beat Crystal Prep in at least one friendship games competition is shared on the entire student body. And like in canon, she didn't participate for the school, but for her firends!), given that she's still the overall smartest student in the school, thing they need for the math, spelling bees, chemestry and other non-sport categories.
The Friendship Games is the time the entire school goes "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" by putting aside their differences in order to try to one-up those "Cristal Prep Jerks".
And regarding the Magical Shenanigans, even if nobody pony-up they will still happen because Sci-Twi is poking around the Base Statue Portal, her energy tracker absorbs and relase magic at random, instigating those incidents, thus making Sunset and the Rainbooms Pony-Up anyway to mitigate or neutralize the magical anomaly.
And there's no way to advert this because Twilight has been trying to ressearch the "the unknown energy source" since it spiked at the battle of the bands as shown in the Rainbow Rocks Post-Credit Scene, in which she appeared for the first time.

What you seem to be forgetting is Sunset didn't care about the school rivalry. She was also on good terms with the student body at the time. You honestly believe she gives a rats a#$ about them now. She even said she wished she hadn't saved them from the Sirens. Sure that just may be her anger talking, but going out of her way to help them doesn't seem likely. All this is assuming the Games occur and the Rainbooms still have a connection to their magic.
Now that Anon-A-Miss has occurred everything that happens afterwards changes.
11796997
You also forget Anon-A-Miss did occur there, this whole saga is not a fanfiction but an adaptation of an official comic, nor this is an AU for the fanfic in which Rainbow sold Sunset to Gilda so she and a group of other disgrunted students beat her up to almost death.
By the time The Frienship Games Happen her rage may have toned down or gone away altogether , and you are forgetting that there are people who never belived about Sunset Being Anon-A-Miss but somebody else, let alone those who never shared anything to the My Stable Profile to begin with.
By your way of thinking you are damning everyone, even those who were on Sunset's side from the beggining, when Sci-Twi absorbed the portal's magic dry and became Midnight Sparkle she ripped portals to Equestria everywhre and portals are like doors: they are two-way, some led to Appleloosa, some to Canterlot, some to Manehattan, and even the Everfree Fortest itself, the Fused Giant Timberwolf from "Spike At Your Service" almost ate Vice Principal Luna, it coudlnt get her because only its head fitted inside the portal, like a dog who gets its head inside a cookie jar, if you have forgotten about the fact. And there was a portal that lead to Cloudsdale... On the Ground! A student almost fell into it.
Even if Sunset hate eveyone incluiding her new friends and girfriends as your way of thinking is expecting, she couldn't ignore this level of threat.
Sunset will make it clear that while she may forgive them in time, She will never forget bout this, let this story be clear about how valuable Trust is:
Trust is being like an ancient porcelain vase, Priceless, very fragile and must be handle with care, but once it has been broken, even if you put it back together with most of its parts, it will never be the same forever, as there will be marks and cracks that will remind you what has happened every time you look at it.
Besides, it pretty much goes against her Geode/Element of Empathy.

If it's an "adaptation" of an original story that's already been written and completed, then it's a fanfic. It doesn't have to be an AU to Dainn's Anon-A-Miss because it's an AU to the original story seeing as how events in this story didn't occur in the original.
11797212
And you've missed the point: not every Anon-A-Miss story have to be "Dainn's Anon-A-Miss: Sunset just wants to watch the world burn edition" you are pretty much expecting.
If anything the author have been going his way to mitigate some of the grief by making sunset make new friends who defend her from the acusations, the school being divided into pretty much five factions, three of them doesn't believe that Sunset is Anon-A-Miss, managed to ship Sunset with Cloudkicker and Trixie at the same time and even advert some future problems if he ever does make a sequel:
By making Sunset take Diamond Tiara her protege, she made her stray from the path of her becoming an exact copy that Spoiled Milk wanted, thus Diamond is becoming far more sociable than canon even earlier than her Pony couterpart, this also butterfly into her exposing her mother's shady secrets, which may even advert the reason Filthy wants to buy and demolish Camp Everfree and its surrounding forest to turn it into some sort of Mega-Mall, this also made her meet Walflower which may have adverted the whole "Forgotten Friendship" episode.
Make no mistake, this story is leading to have serious consecuences to everyone involed, but none of them seems to be an "I want to watch the world burn while I dance on everyone's graves" Sunset Shimmer, as you pretty much expect, she's leading up to an "I'm deeply hurt and dissapointed by all of you, I truly wanted to be friends with all of you but right now, I don't want to see your faces any time soon, maybe some time later I will forgive you all but I will Never forget all of this!" Sunset Shimmer.
11797161
Because they have no proof of her involement, the data was uploaded stright into Sweetie's phone by an adapted disposable USB, and it will be just their word against hers without anything solid to sustain it.
