Dalkrin-the-Wanderer

E

What kind of world do we live in when a pony can be on top of the world one moment, ready to achieve her dreams at the cusp of her greatest triumph only to have it all torn away in the span of a single wing beat? Why would a filly deserve such a fate? To all but touch her gilded dream but find it ripped from her grasp as the cruel hand of fate plays a devastating trick? Rainbow Dash is such a filly, and even in her sorrowful and woe-begotten state, her friends try to help her. Will they be enough to fill the gap left both physically and emotionally by the loss of her dearest treasure? Will they be able to save their friend from the all consuming anguish?

This story is really heartbreaking. It's well written and has a very nice pacing. I look forward to more.

I wonder what our little Rainbow will do for a job? Applebucking? Mail Mare? I can't wait to see how she adapts to ground life.

Poor Rainbow, not even able to get home and reduced from proud pegasus to earth pony.:rainbowwild:

Horrible as it sounds, I actually enjoyed writing the tree scene. I guess I've had days like that so it kinda felt familiar.

oh my....
WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
a.k.a great job on this story :D

It's "losing", not "loosing". "Loosing" is what you do to a knot when you're starting to untie it. "Losing" is what happens when you can't find or obtain something. That's a pet peeve of mine and it interrupted the mood of the story for me.

I'm on it, and thanks for the catch. I've got mild dyslexia so sometimes I rely a bit heavily on Spell checker. Could you point me to where this indiscretion is so i can fix it?

Never Mind. I got it. Both instances of the mix up.

Interesting so far, and the take on Pegasus racing is amusing.
