A writer and musician trying to be decent at both things. Here, you'll find some of my attempts at storytelling!

There are things older than princesses, than castles, than names, and than time. Some of them live in remote corners of the world, shuttered away in an inaccessible crevasse. Some take refuge below the sea, in cities older than minds can comprehend. Some sift among the stars and dance maddeningly against the backdrop of the crawling chaos.

Twilight Sparkle met one such thing in a small cottage outside of Canterlot.

Now, two hundred and seventy-three years after the fact, she vividly recalls how that meeting went.

I see…she remembers lives who are long gone…
Wondering how does this affect her life two hundred and seventy-three years later...(that's a particular number!)
Perhaps she needed help gathering the remnants of the past while finding answers after centuries of being a princess?
We can only wait and see what else is this geriatic mare capable of other than an extended life … and why Celestia brought Twilight to meet her … and also what is the extra scone for.

I love the description of their journey to the mysterious place. So detailed and vivid is it that I could almost smell the environment.

Twilight's mental activities are pretty realistic, really shows how things are happening with her perspective pushing the story forward with every step she goes.

Celestia is mysterious as ever with that poker face on her. I wonder if she'll help Twilight after those years are gone.

Onwards!

I see you are meeting your first Old God, Twilight. You better pack your bags because it's going to be a trip! :D

Nicely written; very immersive and seemingly mysterious. I say that because it seems as though the mystery is obvious. Who is the Keeper of the Dead? We know who it is. Why did Celestia bring Twilight to see this Keeper? Probably to take a photograph of yet another of her student as a track for history to learn from. Why did Celestia revere Keeper so much? Likely that it is important for her to reflect upon her many memories as a mentor, guardian etc. Maybe Keeper was her first student, or something.
