History doesn't record everything, and explorers have not charted the entirety of the globe. There is always more, waiting to be told.

Ponies once suffered through hard lives in a world that was not for them, until a path to freedom presented itself. On the way to salvation, the hidden burdens of changing the world began to surface and one pony struck out on her own to shoulder them all.

Goodnight.

:twilightoops: Had a little trouble following the plot, but kinda fell into place toward the end.
Not bad, nonetheless.

Interesting...

Um, well.

That was amazing.

I can see why this story wasn't all that well received, and why you as an author may have been a little cold on it. However, it hit a perfect chord for me. I'm a real sucker for a slightly distanced narrative, and I really enjoy the whole glimpses-of-primordial-mythos thing that this has going for it, unanswered questions and all. Revealing any more would detract from the tone of the story; it came out to just about the perfect length. I'm finding it hard to explain why I like this so much; I don't words good. The best I can say is it puts me in the same mindset as when you first see the first few creatures in the game Shadow of the Colossus.

I'm glad you liked it. As silly and basic as it sounds, there are two kinds of questions a story can ask: those that require answers and those that don't.

I made an effort to ask a lot of questions that didn't need answers.
