A mysterious black dragon appears in Ponyville, injured and alone. It's a strange thing to see, but nothing that the ponies couldn't handle. ...That is, until the little wyvern known as Nel accidently attracts some very dangerous attention.
Now, it's up to Nel and the Elements of Harmony to seal away the monsters spilling from the depths of Tartarus and hopefully before it's all too late...

Not to brag, although it's tempting, I've hunted the Nargacuga 17 times and made both a full set of armor, and a full set of weapons. Save for the hammer. Haven't made that, and really don't want to. That being said, the moment I saw the cover pic for this my mind was like,
"FUCK ALL THAT EXISTS AND READ THIS STORY!!!"

Hmm....I've played Monster Hunter, and am rather devote to it. So, it bugs me to see these Nargacuga inconsistencies. For starters, and correct me if I'm wrong, the Cuga doesn't breathe fire. At all. Second is that for all the Cugas I have fought, which amounts to 17, they almost never seem to run out of poison quills to chuck. It might be because this ones an adolescent, or whatever, but still. That being said, what in the fresh hell is the monster you've got attacking their village called. It's not one of the Pelagus, for their all ape like and without dragon tails, and it's not one of the wyverns. So what the hell is it?
I tryed to read this I really did I love monster hunter and mlp to a way lesser extent but this story is just to innocent
2113027 I know the Nargacuga doesn't really breathe fire. I've never faced one, but I know some things. I did that to make it more relatable to the dragons in MLP. I also limited his quills for the simple sake of biology. If I went off and gave him unlimited quills, then how fast would his body produce them? And, finally, that monster in the second chapter, I made that up from the depths of nightmares. It was made simply to do damage, nothing more. There was no inspiration behind it either.
Still, thanks for reading and pointing out inconsistencies.

I called it, though from monster hunter stories the nargacuga has navy fur as well as scales and I didn't think they could fly because they seemed more land based to me even though they are called fly wyverns
