Well, this has got my attention. Very good.
Before I read any further, though, I must point something out. OCs that are jet-black for no particular reason are frowned upon. That's a massive cliche, and unless it has an explanation in the story, it should be avoided. The red eyes don't exactly help a whole lot.
Okay. This has been tracked. I will even award you with a 5-star rating, despite only being on the second chapter.
This is a pretty badass warfic, I'm not going to lie. Keep it up.
If I have one objection, it's that it appears to be moving a little too fast. The battle scenes seem to go by so quickly that they don't really have a chance to build suspense. But I digress.
I'm really surprised this story hasn't got more coverage. It deserves a hell of a lot more than the paltry 50 views it's gotten so far.
Gotta say I'm enjoying this. The story is very interesting and I'm finding myself curious about these gryphon characters you've created. Only a couple typos here and there but an otherwise really good read. Keep up the good work and can't wait for the next chapter.

Edit2: Have you considered adding a story image to this? A good picture can help draw in some more readers, which this story rightly deserves. Without one, the lone title can be easy to miss in the quickly changing list of updated stories.

Cool, also minor thing about the character tags. The site made some new ones including a 'mane 6' and 'cmc' tag which is used to say that all 6 mane characters and/or all 3 cutie-mark crusaders are in the story with 1 tag so that there aren't so many and it doesn't look so clustered. I'm actually surprised it wasn't automatically done when that change went out.

Bit of an update for everyone: Though I do have a backlog that's steadily being edited and put up, I've currently put The Griffin War on hold while I work on another story that I'm currently in the middle of writing. Look for The High King, coming either to EQD, or FIMFiction if they won't post it. Maybe even both!

Those Drakons are...efficient...brutally efficient. It just seems to get more and more hopeless for the ponies.
I don't see how they can win without something or someone helping them.

though i do not see how their idea would work out with making them figure heads............ i mean they are alicorns. the grypohons have nothing with the aiblityt to fight an alicorn. theycould easily retake theri kingdom and kill even the king of the ghryphons if tyhey need to. simply charge through and destroy what threatesn theri kingdom.
I better see some badass spike, especially based upon the picture, and not just that he has a brief apperance.
