I've spent almost twenty years of my life writing fanfiction. Something is clearly wrong with me, especially if I'm writing about pastel cartoon ponies now.
Let's just say that if your story has attracted my attention, it's either really good, horribly bad, or so full of typos and grammatical errors that I find it unreadable.
