Instead of ignoring it and walking away like a sane human being, I decide to read it. As I'm reading, I come up with an idea for a deconstruction/parody of the genre in question. Sometimes these ideas turn out in a way that they might actually be worth writing, so I start thinking about where to go with such a story idea.
