So, true story this. I had just finished writing chapter 6 and was giving it a quick read through to check that there wasn't any glaring errors, and I found myself thinking 'I wonder, what happens with Nightmare Moon?'' And then I totally realised that I was the author and could decide what happened to Nightmare Moon. And thus this chapter came about. Celestia is such a deep character, I thought I should make an interlude chapter describing how she felt about various things. I'm not so good at feelings (or writing in general really) so I reckon it was a pretty poor attempt but oh well. Also, the reason I'm posting it now instead of my usual late night post is because I'm home ill.

A couple of people over here and on fanfiction have being asking about Cadance & Shining Armor. Just to clear things up, at the start of me writing Oldnew Luna, the season 2 finale did not exist, thus I didn't know about Cadance and Shining Armor. I think it would be best to keep things as they are (i.e. sans the foalsitter and her husband) as keeping them in would just complicate matters further.
