Well, fan fiction is the art of taking a character and placing them in situations and scenarios that they have not or can not be placed in in the canon material. When that happens, extrapolated facets of a personality can emerge in the characters in the story. It is unavoidable that there may be interpretations of a character that stray from a true canonical understanding—and this may be either from poor writing or from attempts to grow the character—but this is true in all fan fiction. I'm generally impressed with how well the fans of MLP:FiM handle these characters in their writing, and I'm glad that you find the writing to have a level of quality.

2073310 Yes, I have been here a little while without an account. I must say that the quality of the fanfiction here is top notch, though I'm not sure how much of it is the quality of the works themselves, and how much is the lack of observation of the source material making it impossible to tell whether the author keeps the people, or ponies in this case, true to the source material or not, so they have to be graded on their own merits instead of in comparison to the original.

Why hello there, new FIMFiction user! Welcome to the premiere site for MLP fan fiction!:pinkiehappy:

Thought Master, if you have any questions about how the site works, then please don't be afraid to ask me. I'm glad to be of service, and we are all glad that you've joined on!
