I just got an EqD rejection letter back for a story called "Mortality Report". One point says,

Ownership phrases of the sun or moon should be taken out and shot.

I don't know why this pre-reader has taken it upon themselves to declare magical ideas out-of-bounds in a magical fantasy, but I'm sure I've seen many stories describe the sun as being Celestia's, or the moon as being Luna's. Certainly The Old Stories.

This amazing story snuck by a couple of weeks ago with only 263 views. I don't believe there's such a thing as a "best" story. Some stories shouldn't be compared to each other; I'm not going to lose sleep wondering whether Eternal is "better" than Fallout: Equestria. But on a per-word basis, there's nothing better than The King of Carrot Flowers on fimfiction.
