I originally did a quick sprint for a for funsies contest on beans writing group. Bean's Writing Group - Fimfiction

I haven't written in... a while, and I wanted to see if I could stretch a bit to get it done.

What is actually about?!

Well the original prompt was literally just "Ponies watching stars" and I've always leaned towards a bit more cosmic horror when it came to stars.

Due to recent personal items I've also been a bit out of sorts with regards to my own internal philosophy and as I was writing this I felt that it ended up capturing that kind of feeling very well.

A piece which I originally wrote for Beans Writing group, Bean's Writing Group - Fimfiction

It's not a particularly revolutionary world or concept but I felt it was excellent practice to try a new style of writing.

What's it about? Why, dear reader, how forward of you.

The original prompt was: The controls are stuck
The bonus: There's something / There's nothing: Wrong

Week: 46

As always, comments are appreciated.

Thanks for stopping by!

This was written as a conceptual piece focusing on specifically a sort of poem styling. Although, I barely know what a poem is to begin with.

The original bonus of this story, "Background Characters Only", became the central idea throughout the entire thing.

As some people who have read this have pointed out, it's a bit confusing at times. To alleviate this, the actual answer is: "It's earth, there is no up or down."

But seriously, the concept was: What if it was not a singular being per-say but perhaps the spirit of the background pony. It, got a tad muddled but I think overall it works.

The original prompt was: Dancing with myself
The bonus: Background characters only (no OCs, no characters with dialogue outside of a brief cameo)

This was for Bean's Writing Group - Fimfiction

Week 31: A night where the sun didn't go down, with bonus: Theme chosen by another writer (secret Santa)

If I were to self critique this story, It'd... not be rated very well.

The original concept for this story was "What if there was a giant laser that required two people in love to power the thing". Although the beginning had some of that concept, I decided to save it for a much better story later on. As such this ended up just becoming a test bed for a new technique I wanted to try, as explained below.

Half the fun of this story was creating the "Music" which serves as both a neat way to break up the story and also as "Chapter Breaks".

I like the concept and will likely use it again in another story.

The "Musical Lines" are all in quotation for easy reading.

Thanks for taking a look!

Long description:

Long ago, a story was told. You, the reader have picked up the journal off a shelf in a little known alcove and have decided to flip through it's ancient pages.

Smell the dust, enjoy the pictures, and try not to worry too much about that rip in the cover.

Prompt 11, "Earth Pony Magic" with bonus "No main characters".

Reading by: Nailah - Fimfiction https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yelN_jGomEc

Although not fully compliant in it's execution, I wanted to write what I felt was a story that captured the feelings of both understandings.
