Fluttershy left Ponyville to visit a Pony Pen Pal in Las Pegasuses. She hasn't return in about a year. Life for everyone else goes back to normal, but not for Applebloom and her friends. When they venture into Fluttershy's abode and discover a secret circle of "rental mares", the Cutie Mark Crusaders journey to Las Pegasuses to bring her back. Instead, the three find themselves fallen into a web of deceit, betrayal, identity, family, closure and most importantly, the connection to themselves.

Twilight Sparkle went on patrol with her big brother. Rarity was harvesting gems in the Crystal Caverns. Yet these two are going to wind up facing against the Decay, an event that has put ponies into comas and has caused the world to wither away.
