Sunburst got the ring, he's got the girl, all he needs is her father's blessing.

But Firelight, the overprotective, overbearing parent that he is, won't give it up without a (metaphorical) fight.

It's a huge step they're taking, and it's going to be hard, and long, and exhausting. But it's going to be worth it in the end, to form a family with him, to be a mother—is like all the pieces of her life are finally falling into place and she's exactly where she needs to be.

Or, Sunburst and Starlight take the plunge and decide to start a family, through adoption.

Starlight messed up big time.

She made a batch of love potion and Sunburst accidentally drank the whole thing! After Spike calms her down, he gently suggests that it might not be a bad thing, especially since Sunburst seems strangely unaffected.

What could his sudden tolerance to a potent love potion mean?

Starlight is good with magic, but she’s no scholar—not like Sunburst. One of her best friends and arguably the smartest, cleverest, most prepared pony she knows. Who grew up with books in the same way she grew up with magic running in her veins.

The world is enjoying a new era of peace, but there’s still so much to do—new things to learn and try. Starlight thinks that there’s no harm in reading some of Sunburst’s books—to learn about the world in other ways instead of simply living in it.

Reading the books he recommends turns into an interest for poetry, for she can’t help but feel moved by the ancient Equestrian sonnets. Her unexpected interest in the genre makes her try her hoof in writing some. And no, they’re not very good, but they are sincere if nothing else.

And she would never, ever show Sunburst her poetry. Not when most of them are about him.

Sunburst is a stallion found on the sandy shore near his home after everyone had taken him for dead. When he swears that a mare of great beauty saved him from a watery grave, he is taken for a madpony.

Starlight Glimmer is a mare whose voice was taken to keep her from revealing the secrets that only she knows. Now, she has to choose between the life that she knew and the new world that's opening up to her.

Life moves on and Starlight tries her best to do the same, not because she wants to, but because she has to, for the sake of her daughter and all those around her.

She slips every once in a while though and the one night she allows herself to feel weakness, it happens to be in front of Sunburst, her ex-husband, and the man who still owns her heart.

Now that fate has put him in her path once again, it's time to decide if she really wants to move on or not.

No pony said that pregnancy was easy, still the whole ordeal catches them both by surprise.

Starlight says she's pregnant, and that she wants to keep it.

And in no way does Sunburst consider himself ready to be a dad. Or so he thinks.

Having a baby is an amazing tool for persuasion, and an effective way to drag them both, kicking and screaming, from their world of self-absorption and to think about some pony else for a change.

Starlight Glimmer, born and raised there, meets a young unicorn name Sunburst on one of those summers. It's not quite love at first sight, but a bond is formed and a friendship is steadily cared for over the course of these summers. Sometimes, puppy love grows, maturing into something steady and true, if given the right care.

Starlight has quietly admired Sunset Shimmer's cousin ever since they were kids, but she’s having trouble finding the courage to tell him so.
