Well, not exactly, but I'll be away for awhile and will hopefully be getting some writing done. I have a handful of proto-stories on the go, but unfortunately the one that's closest to being done should come after the one that's still nebulous, so I'm-a have to figure out how to swing that

• “Pinprick” was inspired by a friend of mine who, at the age of four, discovered the dead body of a squirrel and tried to make a mummy.
• “The Two-Step” was written backwards---its final line was written first, and the rest was built around it.
• “Nothing Shocks Me Anymore” was based on several personal experiences. The character suffers from schizoaffective disorder, like me, but her distorted memories were based on the real-life experiences of a close friend of mine.
