Idea for a story based on a tabletob miniatures game (Dystopian Legions) · 11:40pm Feb 21st, 2017

Just an idea that has been floating around in my head for a little while. It's not really developed, and the story has yet to form in my mind, but, considering that I was fortunate enough to get three non-starter packs for the game Dystopian Legions for Christmas, along with a starter pack on the way (which contains the actual rule book, dice, and other stuff I need to play) and plans to get paint and glue to

Confession · 7:48pm Feb 7th, 2017

The idea of confession that people carry around isn't always a good one. It brings up ideas of interrogation and, in some cases, of rejection and even abuse from others. Confessing what you've done wrong can feel difficult, or as though it will be humiliating.

2:50-3:33 What the crud, Clodius? :pinkiegasp::flutterrage:

Man, glad we don't have this happen today, or at least, have guards and police to stop it.

Thought this was interesting, along with other videos by the same Youtuber.

Here's what happened beforehand, if you're curious.

New idea · 2:50am Feb 2nd, 2017

I've been watching some Animator vs. Animation, both the originals by Alan Becker and some TTS versions. I've come up with the rather persistent idea (as in, it won't go away) of making a ponified version, distantly related to Leon, Luna, and Eddy, but non-canon. I've come up with Spike and the CMC (primarily Sweetie Belle, since she can use a human-style keyboard using her magic) playing the part of the animator and a Celestia-style stickpony as the animation, with the powers she uses being

A call to those suffering depression and suicidal thoughts · 12:13am Jan 29th, 2017

Depression is one of the many terrible conditions people suffer under in this world. It might be brought on by traumatic events, by grief and loss, perhaps even extended periods of boredom. It is a spiraling, downward path that tries to suck people into the black hole of oblivion, either by rendering them broken and useless, or convincing them to end, or attempt to end, their existence.

Historical sources and issues · 3:32am Jan 22nd, 2017

Now for a little fun and history.

A few months back, I was studying the Spanish Conquest of Mexico, ultimately having four different authors providing me details. While a lot of the data lined up, some of it didn't, or contradicted, or had another issue come up.

The following videos are about the same battle; Teutoburg Forest, 9 AD. Although they feature the same event, both of them have major differences that might help you see the historian's problem of conflicting information;

The popularity game, why it is so meaningless to play, and an escape from it. · 10:58pm Jan 17th, 2017

We've all been here, as adult, children, or both. As a kid, I thought if I could dribble a basketball, juggle, use a hoola hoop the right way, or do something else cool and awesome, I was a nobody. I often tried to do things I had no talent for because doing it at least decently would, or so I and many thought and perhaps still think, earn everyone's respect, or at least some of it. Me and at least a couple other people would often crowd around the guy using a Game Boy, playing Pokémon. I

Christmas season · 1:06am Dec 15th, 2016

Yep, it's that time of year again. Carols, Santa, music on the radio, Salvation Army in front of Wal-Mart, cookies, turkey, chicken, gingerbread houses, and Christmas trees and wreaths galore... not to mention presents.

But let's not forget the reason for the season. While all these things are nice, they do not compare with what is really important.
