Set in the MLP universe in a past era, To Light Up the Sky tells of the adventures taken by the children of Sharpwing and Cloudfort Skylighter. Neither youth truly knows what will become of them - yet. But, in the vast open skies, little is beyond sight.

(for those of you who've read "The Chronicles of Rainbow Flameborn Dash," Flameborn Skylighter is the same character, although on no accounts are the ideas here in sync with that fanfic.)

Rainbow Dash and Rarity are headed together on a holiday in the jungles of Coltombia; Rainbow Dash for adventure, and Rarity for the many beautiful artifacts. Yet, Rainbow Dash has an ulterior motive, to win over the truly loving and sensual Diamond Unicorn.

From foalhood to old age, this sees my personal interpretation of the character Rainbow Dash, through various events pre-canon and post-canon. Born to Flameborn Skylighter and Emerald Dash, a very special foal shall grace the world. Or should I say, smoke the world in rainbows?
