Serious question · 8:30pm Feb 16th, 2013
The hell is wrong with wanting to be a princess?
The show has shown that being a princess is clearly not all fun and games and being pampered. It's work
Remember this:
or maybe this:
Or how about this
plus that whole thing where they run the entire country and oh, are responsible for moving the fucking sun and moon.
I'm getting mighty annoyed at the folks that are assuming that being a princess means a cakewalk and no real work or character development can happen because eww, girly!
^that's another form of misogyny. Stop that. Bad ponies.
834624 it's always creepy, who you kiddin
The whole fucking immortal thing might play a part in it.
I suggest you

Pfft, you love it.
Plus, princesses kick ass(even if they're all technically queens) my only issue is that they are queens, and are given the title of princess because it sounds cute.
834660 do i thinks he should have just been made a princess without being asked? fuck no, and I hope that had she declined, celestia would have turned her back. that's a huge burden.
But the people whining that she's a princess now because 'every little girl wants to be a princess' and they take that to mean 'every little girl wants to be a spoiled little bitch that sits on her ass and does nothing' need to get their heads out their asses post-haste
It's because people continue to think this series is about humans and the majority of humans are chauvinistic pigs, so thus, to them, princess = pretty bargaining tool/fuck doll, when in reality they are the hardest and noblest beings in Equestria, since this show is about PONIES not humans
834686 then those people have not been fucking paying attention to the show at all, and I wonder if they're even fans because really, one must be blind to think the way they do
834682 Yeah, you have a point.
Some people really need to

And that is my issue with a lot of this fandom, they clearly are not paying attention to what's happening in this series. Same thing goes for the fics that are cast aside because they don't follow the same bullshit their parents shoved down their throats, they continue to think these ponies are just humans in pony suits or something, it's so dumb, there is zero logic with these people.
Yup. That is why I am looking forward to S4. There is so much they can do with Twilight now.
The wait will kill me.
My point is that throughout time, being a princess was a do nothing job. The same applies to a prince.
The duties always fell upon the king and queen. Cadance and Shining are both rulers, they're married which makes them king and queen. Celestia and Luna are both the rulers of equestria so they are queens.
Twilight and Blueblood are princess and prince, because they are not ruling anything at the moment.
Dear Princess Celestia,
Queen it up bitch.
your faithful student,
Princess Twilight Sparkle
834765 Throughout time-on OUR planet. Not Equestria. It doesn't matter if they're called a Princess or a Queen-they're doing the damn job, the title shouldn't matter. Princess is more equitable and approachable. And Cadence is NOT a queen, she is still a Princess.
Given how many fandoms make up words to suit a purpose already filled by an existing word, this is a red herring

King Sombra.
QUEEN Chrysalis.

And perhaps they differentiate themselves from those two, and use the other title for that reason? I'm also not sure it matters that much, Chucky boy.
What do you mean? This is the most important thing of all time.
The funny thing about my writing is Celestia making Twilight a princess so suddenly like that Jossed me more than anything else because she wants to let Twi have chance at a real life first and puts off giving her extra responsibility as long as possible. Of course my stuff is already AU anyway so it's not a big deal but I"m trying to keep the characters the same as much as possible, just altering events.
Uh, so yea, I agree with you.
I wanna be a princess
