A long overdue statement of affairs... · 1:51am Mar 30th, 2016
So. It's been a long while since I've posted, well.... anything on here. I wish I could say I've been busy, but truthfully, that isn't the case. When your muse leaves you, it's hard to really get it back. Now, don't get me wrong, I love writing. I love being able to craft a story that can be enjoyed by others. But, when I'm unable to put my thoughts to words on the page, when those thoughts don't even come anymore... it becomes difficult. It's frustrating for me, and I'm sure it's been frustrating to those of you who have been wondering if my story, "My Mother Moves the Moon!" is going to update, if at all.
Suffice to say... it won't be. Not for a very long time. As of this blog post, MMMtM is going on an indefinite hiatus. Perhaps one day, I'll return to the story, and continue to chronicle the adventures of the young Prince Pipsqueak as he and those around him adjust to his new lifestyle. At the very least, I can share the plans I have... or had, for the story.
-Blueblood was meant from the start to develop into a surrogate big brother figure to the young Pipsqueak. It would have started with the Etiquette lessons, and constant interaction between the pair would have eventually led to Blueblood getting that proverbial stick out of his plot. I might have mulled over the possibility of a potential reconciliation between himself and Rarity.
-Diamond Tiara was intended as a FUTURE love interest for Pip, alongside Silver Spoon... once she went through sufficient amounts of humiliation Character Development.
-Furthermore, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon would have eventually reconciled.
-The story would have continued into Pipsqueak's teenage years before ending somewhere into early adulthood.
-There was always going to be a confrontation planned with Pipsqueak's birth parents, who intended to claim him and capitalize on his newfound fame and fortune. They were going to be the story's primary hatesinks. Like, they were going to be so bad, Blueblood would have looked like a saint in comparison.
Now, I will say that I do not intend to stop writing; I love it too much to stop. I am thankful for each and every one of you who has taken the time to read, comment on, and have enjoyed this story, from the bottom of my heart. Thank you so very much for your support, and thank you so much for your patience with me and my antics, or lack thereof.
-- T.O.K. out
Well, all those details sound like they will one day make an amazing story...and I will patiently wait for a day when your muse returns to you for this story.
Well I hope you get out of this horrible time and get back into the swing of writing this story if ever possible.
Well, so long as you're not quitting pony writing in general :D
Patience is a virtue
Damn, looks like the fandoms on its last legs.
At times the writing comes, and at other times it doesn't. No hard feelings no matter what happens in the future with this story.
