“Baby free at last! Thank Megatron I’m free at last!”—Nitro Zeus
Yes, you are. You’re now free from your own movie. Things could’ve been much worse with you...

Greetings, ladies and gentlemen! The one and only Joker back with another blog! Now, you may not be familiar with this guy, but he is one of the minor Decepticon antagonists of Transformers: The Last Knight. For those of you who had the unfortunate privilege of watching that unwatchable atrocity, you know just how pathetically used and abused these characters were in the film. However, Nitro Zeus was the only saving grace of the whole movie (no, Optimus Prime himself was so poorly written in this film that he wasn’t able to save it). The reason is that Nitro had an actual personality, was more likable, quite competent in battle, and has an interesting motivation for being a Decepticon. I’ll take him over the other Decepticons in this film any day of the week.
According to his file, he was angered by the death of Shockwave and blamed both the Autobots and humanity. Regardless, he has a fair amount of respect for the humans and their culture. Did you notice how he interacted with those other humans namely Tim, Brad, and Enrique? That just shows he fosters no hatred for humans in my humble opinion. He may have blamed them for Shockwave’s (who could have been his brother or cousin) death, but that may not automatically mean he despises them.
Nitro is a funny character to watch. I like his gangster personality and his design. Sadly, the only thing he did in this film was win the affection of half the fans. That’s it. Anyway, Nitro is just someone whom I actually care for and is full of potential to be a great Decepticon commander. He may not had plenty of screen time, but he clearly stole the scenes he appeared. I love that.
You can learn about his origins by watching this video. Very intriguing theory if you ask me.
That’s all for today. Any thoughts on this Decepticon?
Peace.
I guess you're right. As unbearably horrible The Last Knight was, Nitro was certainly one of the more likeable characters in the movie. Also, I don't think he has much of a reason to hate the humans. I mean, they may have severely damaged Shockwave, but it was actually Optimus Prime who brutally finished him off.

Also, did you know that Nitro was voiced by John DiMaggio who had voiced hundreds of characters in several cartoons, animated movies, and videogames. In fact, here is a few of them:
- Bender in Futurama
- Jake the Dog in Adventure Time
- Marcus Fenix in Gears of War
- Dr. Drakken in Kim Possible
- Scotsman in Samurai Jack
- Brother Blood in Teen Titans
- Hammerhead and Sandman in The Spectacular Spider-Man
- Joker in Batman: Under the Red Hood

Don’t forget Steven Barr who also voiced him. In fact, there were two versions of Nitro’s dialogue that were voiced by both him and John DiMaggio. Those were the following:
By the way, Enrique, Chad’s sleeping with your wife. Hahahahaha!!—1st version
I know where you live, Enrique. Say hello to your wife for me!—2nd version
Unfortunate, because I was about to knock some heads!—1st version
Nahh, I kick more ass in prison!—2nd version
The Transformers version of Futurama’s Bender.
