Is Star Wars: Tales of the Empire good?

    I'm genuinely asking.

To be honest with you guys, I'm pretty much done with Disney Star Wars. I've just recently finished watching the series finale of "The Bad Batch" which is a pretty decent show overall. The final season as a whole felt really slow and dull, but it was okay.

Grading Scale:

A (fantastic episode)
A- (an excellent episode with at least one flaw)
B+ (a great episode with a couple of flaws)
B (a good episode which still could have been better)
B- (a good episode with numerous flaws but still rewatchable)

C- (it’s not worth rewatching although it does have good elements)
D+ (a bad episode with a few good things in it)
D (a really bad episode with wasted potential)
D- (a terrible episode with badly written characters and butchered moral)
F (horrible and unwatchable)

Hello, guys. Here is my review of Transformers: Animated season 2 episode 3 “Mission Accomplished”. This episode did not disappoint as it brought a couple of unexpected surprises as well and brought forward yet another crisis our heroes had to face. This time, Ultra Magnus orders Optimus and his team to leave Earth and come with them to Cybertron which would require them to leave their human allies including Sari behind.

Yeah, that just made the situation much harder for her to handle given the loss of her father and her own home. However, the writers seized the opportunity for her to form some kind of... friendship with Fanzone. It was kinda funny the way he uttered his line:

This is why I hate... kids!

Also, Starscream has come back from the dead thanks to the Allspark fragment! This is what revived this classic relationship between him and Megatron back in G1: he tries every way to kill and dethrone him yet continued to fail every time. That is hilarious!

I especially loved the scene where Screamer threw the actual bomb device that crippled Megatron in the very first episode, resulting in the latter throwing it right back at him without even looking. Man, his audio receptors must have vastly improved due to his Allspark upgrade.

It was really satisfying to see the Autobots and Elite Guard to work together to stop Starscream from getting away with another Allspark fragment. Although it wouldn’t be the last time we would see him or the Elite Guard again, I was glad to see Ultra Magnus actually allow Prime and his crew to stay on Earth as its protectors.

This was an overall fun episode, so I will give this a big A. I see no flaws in this whatsoever.

Peace!

Here's a funny thought, amigo. Megatron knew about the Allspark fragment in Starscream's head and only keep Starscream doing those attempts as a cruel sense of humor.

You know, I think it was a good thing I saved Ultra Magnus for last. Let's see what makes the leader of Cybertron so great.
1. In voicing Magnus, Jeff Glen Bennett seems to be channeling Robert Stack, the voice of the original Ultra Magnus from the 1986 movie.
2. Ultra Magnus was planned to go off-line in season 4 according to The AllSpark Almanac II.
3. According to The Complete AllSpark Almanac Ultra Magnus is writing a book called Memoirs of a Magnus.
Btw, here's something that always bothered me in this episode. Why did the Allspark fragment that was embedded in the train not bring it to life?

That’s actually a good question. That brings to mind that truck from which Starscream pulled that same fragment earlier. The same thing can be asked about that.

My personal thought on it is that the writers didn’t want to reveal the fragments ability to do that too early. Because that would have ruined the surprise reveal of Wreck-gar and the Constructicons. Nevertheless, the only other thing that bothered me was the obvious Blue Bastard being a bully for the sake of being one. Sentinel, I got two words for you.
