What if your hopefull and positive outlook of life were more fragile than you think?
There is a place in Equestria call Happy Town. This is town that veneer the concept of joy and everypony do their best to achieve it. All, except for one. That lone pony disagree with the philosophy of its home, seeing as a hypocrisy. And so, he plan to show all Equestria the cracks of that way of living. In an extreme and cruel way.
One day, the Bearers of the Elements of Harmony, Twilight and her friends, have been sent on a mission to go to Happy Town. An ancient ruin of a time long forgotten had been found nearby and the Mane 6 have for task to investigate it. Using that opportunity, that pony kidnap them all and use the strange machinery of those ruins to organize a game. A game where each of the Bearers will be put to a trial that have for goal to shatter their optimist.
This might be the bigger test they will have to face. Will the power of their friendship will prevail?

So based on the description and first chapter it sounds like this is gonna be some kind of Jigsaw type death game utilizing ancient technology? (maybe a little more pg than that cause no violence tag)
The first chapter hasn't really gotten me too invested, but I'd read some more to see where this is going.
Oh! So these "games" are gonna be live? Basically, everypony in Equestria is gonna watch the poor Mane Six and Starlight try to survive these "tests/games"?

You are in part correct. This will be indeed a dangerous game but one that will be more focused on emotional damage than physical one. I cannot tell you more. I wouldn't want to spoil the whole thing.
Also, sorry but the next few chapters will be heavily focuse on comedy. But let me tell you this. Those comedic chapters are a trap. One misleading the readers on what is truly to come. Tragedy hit more harder when you can see the happy days that had been lost, after all.

Like, when the game starts. Do they try to find and help out the mane six, instead of just standing there, and be the helpless bystanders/watchers like everypony else?
One more thing. How does Spike, CMC, Young Six, the Princesses, The Pillars, their own families, the non-pony leaders, and their other friends will react, once it all starts?
Indeed. The Happy Townians would the one that would be the most involved. In a way. But I won't spoil anything. The next chapters will have for goal to show a better image of who they are and how this community think. The Mane 6 will find they are quite something.
